Mistypaw breathed in the cool morning air as she padded along with her patrol, consisting of herself, Stoneheart, and Lilypaw. For once, the weather was almost agreeable and Mistypaw was uncharacteristically calm. Suddenly, her whole body tensed at the sound of a bird. She shot off in the direction of the sound.
Her movements were swift but silent and she soon returned to the patrol with her catch, tail held high.

The member 'Nerd' has done the following action : Dice roll
She had not expected to be taking two of the clan's newer apprentices on patrol this morning, but Stoneheart had merely given the deputy a nod and turned her attention to the task at paw, not letting her surprise show as she shepherded the two 'paws from camp. The morning was cool, rather than the sweltering humidity of recent weeks, and it was nice to get out of camp and stretch.
Mistypaw was the first to spot prey, and Stoneheart fell silent, not wanting to potentially give up the apprentice's catch or interfere. The apprentice moved quickly and quietly, bringing down the bird with ease. "Good catch, Mistypaw." Stoneheart nodded at the young apprentice. She turned her attention toward the trees, searching for her own prey, though she was sure to keep an eye on the two young she-cats as well.
