She was going to catch a squirrel. An arguement with Viperpaw the other day that transpired into a challenge for the two she-cats, and there was no way Creamlily would allow Viperpaw to win. So, she set off in the early morning, burning with determination to find a fluffy rodent and present it to the snobbish apprentice once she woke up. She'd be back before she knew it, she promised herself.
And yet, the sun was already high in the sky, she was exhausted, and the furry creature was still no where in sight. Several times, she had thought she spotted one, but they either ran away before she got within even five fox-lengths of it, or it turned out to be a rock, which she would find out after she came crashing into it. Practically raging now, Creamlily hared off into the moor, seething while desperately searching for any signs of the dumb squirrel. She'd cross into ThunderClan territory if she had to!

Alright, fine, she gave up. Creamlily slumped onto the hot, hard ground, feeling herself melt under the sun. It was well past Sunhigh by now, and she should've been home ages ago, but she couldn't exactly return empty-pawed, right? Grumbling, the tabby pulled herself to her paws. One more time... just one more time. She surveyed the moor yet again, forcing her tired paws to move as she lumbered forward.
Wait, hold on, was that- Creamlily's eyes widened in surprise as a fluffy ginger creature that was surely a squirrel hopped about mere tail-lengths away. Oh yeah, she was going to get it now! Determined, the she-cat shot forward, streaking towards the squirrel, and she was almost there, she was almost-!
She fell flat on her face. Tripped on a rock. The squirrelw as gone. Creamlily let out a scream of frustration, digging up the grass beneath her in a fit of rage. She was going to kill Viperpaw, and she was going to kill every squirrel that ever existed! What did she do to deserve this? The tabby wanted to cry and scream at the same time. This had to be the worst day of her life ever.
