Falconmoon was in the medicine den, and there were kits to be apprenticed. Wolfstar tried to feel some sense of joy at the second fact, though the first - and the overall state of the clan - had the white and tabby leader worried.
Shaking her head, Wolfstar leapt up to the tallbranch. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!"

Mistypaw was there in the blink of an eye. Clan meetings were always so exciting! Maybe she’d get a new denmate! Ooh, or maybe a warrior ceremony! Ospreypaw certainly must be getting close.

Newtkit heard Wolfstar's call from the nursery. The sleek, dark kitten perked her ears, copper eyes peering into the camp as cats began to gather. She flicked her tail, and then pranced out into the sunlight, plopping down beside an apprentice whose name she hadn't learned yet.

Wolfstar offered the kit a soft smile as she spotted her among the crowd, "Newtkit, step forward." She began, once the kit had done so the leader continued, "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time you become an apprentice. From now until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Newtpaw. Your mentor will be Lighttail, she's a reliable, experienced warrior who will teach you well." Wolfstar dipped her head to the she-cat in question, then leapt from the tallbranch.
Lighttail nodded to Wolfstar before stepping forward to touch noses with the apprentice. “Congratulations, Newtpaw,” she purred. “Training starts tomorrow. For now, take some time to celebrate!”
