King of the Hill [O]

There was the faint sound of claws dragging down stone as Flurrykit lifted his head, his face scrunched up in a frown as he found himself slowly sliding down the side of the Highrock. He had been trying to climb it for a bit now but he was running out of ideas of how to scale it - he just wasn't big enough to make the jump and any attempt to find purchase to haul himself up through brute force had also failed... Thought that was always going to end the same way, unsupported by his small kit frame. His tail lashed as he allowed himself to slump fully to the ground, a sigh of annoyance - not defeat, as if a cat as awesome as him could truly ever be defeated! - escaping him. He just wanted a better view of the camp if it was all he was going to get to see until he was six moons old! He and his siblings were growing bigger by the day and while he knew and kinda got the 'six moons old to become an apprentice' thing, he was still pretty annoyed that it was applying to cats as awesome as him!

He flopped onto his side, staring up at the rock - maybe seeing it from a different angle would help him figure out a way to scale it so he could at least actually get to see something different for once.

Minkkit couldn’t help but chuckle. “Having trouble, bro?” she mewed, a hint of sass in her voice. She padded over and put a paw on the tom’s head. “Maybe if we climb on top of each other, we can get up there.”

"Or maybe you'll just hurt yourselves." Sunleap's voice was sour, his murky eyes narrowed as he stepped towards the kits. "Trained warriors like myself aren't permitted to stand atop the rock, let alone you kits."
He looked around, scanning for their parent– or someone responsible enough to keep them out of trouble, at least. Must he do everything himself? Still being on the smaller and weaker side meant the deputy had given him light work– which the golden tom saw as a gesture of pity that rankled –and unfortunately, that meant he had free time to look after camp. The warrior had therefore taken it upon himself to resolve all kinds of issues around camp, although his difficult personality meant he never did so gracefully. "I don't know who let you out of the nursery, but you're certainly not old enough to attempt something so mousebrained unsupervised. Why don't you two run along back to your nests or something?" The golden tom tried to herd the two away from the rock.

"I wanna see you do better," Flurrykit teased back at the sight of his sister approaching, playfully batting at the paw she planted on his head before he titled his head to try to consider if working together they could manage it... Before a warrior spoke up, causing his ears to slick back as he turned to see Sunleap approaching. "We wouldn't hurt ourselves! And I just want to get a better view of the camp, that's all!" he huffed as he started to push himself to his paws only to be swept fully to his feet as Sunleap started to herd them away.

"H-Hey! We are totally old enough to be out of the nursery! We aren't stupid kits, we are nearly six moons old!" He scrambled over Sunleap, posing himself on the opposite side the warrior from Minkkit so Sunleap couldn't face the two of them together. His tail was puffed, lashing as he stood as straight as he could. "We are Flurrykit and Minkkit, kits of Nightdancer! We are gonna be the best warriors and I-I'm not gonna let you push us around, even if you are a warrior!"
