Louse hadn’t been here for a while, not since his game with Firekit. He didn’t feel bad about it one bit, it had made him laugh. Firekit though, had been less than pleased. He imagined that if an older Firekit found him skulking around his territory he wouldn’t be quite as happy to see him. Not that it mattered, Louse wasn’t looking for him, he was looking for an easy meal. He’d put off hunting for some time, hoping the chickens he’d had at the farm would hold off, but his stomach had started growling painfully, and he could no long pretend he wasn’t hungry. A bird darted across his path, and not wasting any time Louse lunged for it.

He caught it between his paws, it was fat and plump. Not like him, he was so thin these days. He killed it swiftly, and decided then and there he was going to eat it. He couldn’t afford to drag it back to his home. He could run into another cat or a predator, and he’d be more hungry and tired. He was about to dig in when he spotted a SkyClanner materialising between the trees, heading towards him. Louse began to growl, his pelt rising. “This is mine. Leave me be.” he snarled, he didn’t care about niceties. He wanted to eat and he wasn’t giving up his catch without a fight. That was if it came to a fight.
