looser keepers, finders weepers [Grub solo]

Foot prints leading up to a dumpster decorated in mysteriously cloudy icicles, was a tell-tale sign that a cat had come prancing up once again to plunder its spoils. Fresh snow had fallen, covering up the scuffle that had happened weeks ago. Yet another lesson that went unlearned by everyone's favorite slimeball.

Nose deep in a shiny chip bag, the same exact events played out:

Claws scratching against metal as the tom leapt free of the enclosed space.
Two distinct yowls bouncing off the snow covered cobblestone walls.
Black and orange tustling in the same old familiar dance.

Grub might as well call the Fox an old friend at this point.

To prevent it from getting boring, Grub chose to be unpredictable in his fighting technique... Not that he ever cared to have one. Fighting was never all that fun to him, but the gamble of it sure did excite him. The fear of death was always present, but it was the what filled the time in between that kept him from losing his mind altogether.

Grub used Leap and Hold, dealing 8 damage and using 15 SP.

Fox stunned for 1 turn.

Claws pressed into orange shoulders that still held scabs and scars from their last encounter, a snarl of early triumph as the fox squealed beneath him. Now, before it could react again! A clawed kick to the spine and a wack across ears.

Grub used Dirty Trick paired with Front Paw Strike dealing 15 total damage and using 14 SP.

All it took was one shake and Grub lost his balance, once again forced to face the fox head on. There was no hesitation in its next attack, jaws snapping at anything it could get hold of.

Wildly and desperately, Grub gave back a flurry of claws and teeth in return.

Grub used Desperate Blows paired with Snap, dealing a total of 13 damage and using 14 SP.

The same scene played out in front of him: Fox stumbles and falls into the snow, his whiplash causing it to flail about dizzily. Dirty icicle between his teeth, he forced it through the neck of the fox a bit too hard, accidentally knocking his head into the beasts.

And then all was silent for the Fox.
