The day was gloomy, but that didn't stop Hemlockfox from setting out with a small band of WindClanners to scour the territory for herbs. So many litters had been born since he'd last dragged warriors and apprentices out that he was running low on certain herbs. Various other injuries or ailments had also left WindClan lacking in certain medicines so while some patrols were stalled due to the poor weather, he'd decided to take the opportunity to guide some of the more bored-looking cats on a little quest - put their paws to use and all that.
The seal point tom flicked his tail, pleased as the Lone Stump came into view. It was his preferred place to search for herbs, but the Flower Fields were a close second. "Alright." He meowed, "I trust you all know the drill, just let me know when you find something so I can identify it." He kept it short, his words clipped, and trotted up the hill towards the stump, blue eyes roving the grassy land for anything to add to his herb stores. Ah, perfect.
With a pleased hum, the fluffy medicine cat followed the familiar scent of tormentil. He snuffled about for a moment before the plant's bright yellow flowers came into view. Tormentil was good for poisons mostly and the last of it had gone bad recently. with a twinge of satisfaction, he snapped up several stalks, careful to leave behind plenty to collect when he needed it again. Which, with any luck, wouldn't be for a good while.
Hemlockfox has found (+2 bonus)! Dice Rolls are as follows: 1: No herbs found, or a deadly herb is discovered. 2-3: Common herb found (Bindweed, Burnet, Poppy Seeds, or Daisy) 4-5: Uncommon herb found (Borage, Dock, or Celandine) 6: Rare herb found (Coneflower or Tormentil)

Spiderdance trotted alongside the other tom, his tail held high. He didn't know that many herbs, but he was just happy to help truthfully. Maybe he'd find something rare and cool! Maybe not. He was pretty sure even daisies had some kind of use, so he was bound to find something interesting, even if he was just grabbing random plants.
Hemlockfox gave the word to start the hunt, Spiderdance giving an excitable nod of acknowledgment before splitting off from the group in search of flowers. He scanned downhill across the moor for a splash of color in the grasses, the lanky tom letting his paws wander in the hunt for intriguing-looking flowers.
He nearly walked past a patch of pink, cone-shaped flowers, their petals poking up beyond the tall grasses. How cute! This flower had to be useful, right? It looked cool, and the usefulness of a flower was definitely tied to how cool it looked. He bit off a number of flowers and leaves, happily returning to Hemlockfox with his findings. Placing them down at the sealpoint's paws, he looked to the tom with a bright smile. "Are these anything? I thought they looked pretty funky."

Fidgetpaw, curled ears twitching, followed Hemlockfox to the territory. He was plenty old enough to be a warrior, but after his father's death, it had derailed him.
Then, of course, getting the absolute mousebeats scared out of him by a hawk. StarClan above.
The tom smelled the air. How did the Clans discover herbs worked, anyway? Who collected and decided their uses?
"Hemlockfox, what is this one? What does it do?"
Thin stalks jutted out of the earth, their flowers swaying in a light breeze.
