Subject: Foxkit’s Apprentice Ceremony Sun 26 May 2024 - 14:28
Rapidfire was done with her tasks for the day which meant it was her favorite time of late afternoon- the very reason she liked saving these for last.
Hoping up the rock to where she called out to the clan let all cats gather around for a clan meeting

FOXKIT "there's nothing that i'd take back" they/he - windclan kit
Foxkit had watched many of their siblings' ceremonies - they had chanted their names and congratulated them afterwards, even - but it never occurred to them that they might be up there someday themselves. If it were up to them, they'd stay in the nursery all their life. But they were indifferent. Becoming an apprentice meant being able to travel outside camp, which meant they could explore and find new and exciting bugs and nap in the flowers fields as they pleased.
And still, they could wait. So Foxkit almost didn't gather around the Tallrock at Rapidfire's' call - no, they simply stayed near the nursery's entrance, taking inventory of the beetles they'd collected for the week with one ear pricked, as though half-expecting to hear another one of their siblings called forward.

Gold is in our blood
Leopardpaw joined the gathered crowd, settling down in his usual spot at the front with his tail curled around his paws and his back straight. Today would surely be another one of his sibling's ceremonies. There were less of them left in the nursery than in the apprentice's den now, and he eagerly awaited the day all of them would be in the apprentice's den, training together to be the best warriors they could be, and make Father proud. He puffed out his chest as he waited for his mentor to call forward any of his littermates' names.

Rapidfire eagerly continued the process of the ceremony. She noted her own apprentice sitting proudly as was his usual and gave him a little nod as she continued. She glanced at Foxkit. Spending time with her own litter she knew they liked to collect little bugs or such things, maybe when they were training together she could find a cool one to give to their collection-she knew her own son also liked bugs perhaps they could be friends.
"Foxkit, you have reached the age of apprentice. From now on you will be known as Foxpaw. Your mentor will be Snowvixen

"Foxpaw! Foxpaw!" Leopardpaw was one of the first to cheer his sibling's name, and definetly the first to approach them as soon as the ceremony drew to a close to bump them gently with his shoulder and purr his congratulations. He quickly regained his composure, putting on an air of grace and dignity, though his tail still twitched with excitement. "I can make your new nest for you. Do you have a preferred spot for it?" He asked Foxpaw eagerly. Maybe he could share his training tips with his sibling to help them make up for their pitiful mentor choice. At this point, he knew that WindClan was running out of good warriors to train the apprentices, so it was sadly inevitable that some of his littermates would end up with horrible mentors.

Quickpaw

Another ceremony, another day of excitement! She wasn't too sure who's ceremony this was going to be, but she bet that it had to be for one of her siblings. They were all ready to become apprentices at this point. At least, she hoped it was one of theirs. She missed sleeping surrounded by all her family.
When Rapidfire called Foxkit's name, Quick's green gaze brightened. Yippee! She was right! Foxkit was gonna be Foxpaw soon, and she couldn't wait to have them as another training buddy! She wondered who their mentor would be...
It turns out that a she-cat named Snowvixen was assigned to be her sibling's mentor. She wasn't too sure about who that was, but perhaps she's nice.
Quickpaw chanted her sibling's name alongside the clan, "Foxpaw! Foxpaw!" Oh boy! Another sibling became an apprentice, and she couldn't be happier!
Leopardpaw had been the first to go up and congratulate Foxpaw, with Quickpaw not too far behind. She couldn't let her brother have all the fun.
"Congrats, Ozzy! Welcome to the 'paw club!" She giggled while rubbing her cheek against theirs. She then faced both Leopardpaw and Foxpaw with an eager grin.
"Can I help with the nest too? We can hang out while making it, a-and it'll be such a fun time!"
FOXPAW "there's nothing that i'd take back" they/he - windclan apprentice
Their head snapped up at the sound of their name. Foxkit? Foxkit. That was them, except now they were Foxpaw. They rushed forward. How did these things usually go again? Oh, yes - they'd have to do the customary nose bump with their new mentor... whoever Snowvixen was. He hoped she'd be cool! Maybe she liked bugs, too, or she could show him some cool hiding spots on the territory.
Hastily, they rushed to the front of the crowd, nearly tumbling over their own paws. They quickly bashed their nose into Snowvixen's and turned around, their face betraying something like a smile. Being an apprentice seemed cool! As Leopardpaw rushed forward, then Quickpaw, his smile only grew. Leo wasn't necessarily his favorite sibling, but Q was definitely high on his list. And he wasn't going to give up the chance to nest near his littermates again. Besides, maybe Leopardpaw had gotten cooler - and they hadn't seen him in forever since he started training. They still missed him. "Lep! Quick! I'll definitely need some help with my nest! I have a whole collection of bugs to move into the den."They purred, amusement twinkling in their golden gaze.
