The stars around tonight's half-moon appeared peaceful in spite of everything. Snow that blanketed the ground chilled paws, but it felt warmer than the ones that came before it, suggesting that leaf-bare may soon be at its end.

Making his way to the Moonstone alone was a chilling feat, given the persistent raised fur along his spine anytime he traveled by himself. After the battle with Skyclan, the memory of the warrior's burning glare had become etched in the back of his mind. Littlesplash shivered at the thought as Mothermouth came into view. Thankfully, anxious thoughts aside, the evening was pleasant and the journey uneventful.
He hesitated in wait of the rest of the medicine cats to arrive with his pelt pressed to the cool stone. It helped to ground him, reminding him that no matter the events that had transpired between clans, this was a meeting of peace. With a proposition laying in wait on his tongue, Littlesplash took in the warmth-tinged breeze.

Anxiety prickled at Heatherberry's paws with each step. It should have been punishment enough to not be allowed rest after what she had done, but she needed to be here. Needed to give her little apologies to the judgmental twinkling stars of silverpelt that followed her relentlessly. If the chill of leafbare wind hadn't cooled her down, ShadowClan's medicine cat may have started to burn up from feeling of having ghostly eyes on her. Tonight, she would repent for her sins. What happened after this would be up to StarClan... Just let her still be allowed to watch over her kits. That was all she asked.
Blindly, Heatherberry padded past the others, never stopping to give hellos as she usually did. Straight through the cramped tunnels and into mothermouth, she approached the gross glittering of the Moonstone. Pressing her nose to it, she quietly fell into an uncomfortable silence. 'I admit to what I've done, and I seek repentance.' She had to stop her thoughts there. She was not sorry for bringing those four beautiful kits into this world, but she was sorry for breaking her vows as a medicine cat.
This was her judgement day and she would abide by the terms of her own punishment. Her eye squeezed shut, allowing sleep to wash over her.

Once again, Thymelight wasn't interested in rocking the boat with any of her colleagues. She was quiet, almost too quiet, as she gave each of the medicine cats a quick and polite glance to greet them before she turned her attention toward the Moonstone. That was all she was here for. The sooner she pressed her nose to the stone and fell asleep, the sooner she could return to SkyClan's camp and be in her nest. Medicine cats were supposed to ignore rivalries, but she knew that it was difficult sometimes, and she knew that tensions between certain Clans were still high after the war. It wasn't something that anyone could easily forget.
She softly sighed before approaching the stone and gingerly pushing her nose against the cold surface.

As seemed to be the theme at this meeting, Smokepetal arrived in silence and sat, off to the side by herself, until all the clans' medicine cats arrived. It felt wrong, almost, not to cheerily greet her peers, but the she-cat was simply too jaded to bother, anymore. Her efforts at remaining neutral and friendly despite the tumultuous clan relationships had been snubbed enough times that she gotten the message - they don't want to be friends with SkyClan, or with her, so there was no sense in trying again, just to be disappointed, again.
Ears back, shoulders low, Smokepetal curled her tail around herself and waited, only moving when the first of the others started down the tunnel. She followed without a word, taking her usual spot and tucking her paws beneath her as she curled on the cold ground, leaning in to press her nose against the stone and praying for once, that StarClan didn't have anything to show her.
Hemlockfox crept down the tunnel toward the moonstone by himself tonight, his blue eyes glinting in the dim light. He'd not spoken to any of the other medicine cats, namely Smokepetal and Thymelight, in days. He'd not even gotten a chance to travel back to SkyClan, but tonight, hopefully, he could ask one of his clanmates...former clanmates...to relay a message to Wolfstar explaining his absence. As he slipped out of the tunnel and into the cavern holding the Moonstone, he noticed that the medicine cats of the other clans were already here. And, from the looks of things, nobody was particularly keen on chatting. Which was the entire reason he'd delayed anyway - to avoid having to deflect questions from nosy ThunderClanners or otherwise.
Despite dragging his paws, the journey here hadn't taken nearly as long as it did from SkyClan's camp, so there was at least that small thing to be grateful for...he supposed. For a moment, Hemlockfox wondered if anyone would question his lateness or worse, why he smelled so strongly of WindClan. Not only had his scent changed, but even his coat looked different. More ruffled and wind-blown than before. With a frown, he slid in between Smokepetal and another medicine cat as they all settled down to speak with StarClan. His tardiness meant that there was little time to speak with the others but, hopefully, he'd get a chance when they all woke up. His gaze briefly slanted toward Thymelight before, with a sigh, he nestled down to dream.

And did the twin flame bruise paint you blue?
"So you were never a saint and I've loved in shades of wrong. We learn to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts."
There were too many questions on her mind that night. Some she wished to be answered - others that left a twisting feeling in her gut of nausea that she wished to not be touched upon at all. Fawnshine's head throbbed with dizzying pain, a numb, non-physical sickness that nagged at her to not attend the meeting at all. Nonetheless, for the sake of her clan, as well as her burden—she reluctantly followed the path the stars have paved for her since the time she set path on this duty.
Exchanging simple nods as politeness, she soon slipped into the tunnel through the Mothermouth and ended up where the rest of her colleagues were. Exhaustion tiring her eyes, Fawnshine simply pressed her nose against the Moonstone and let fate descend.

Littlesplash's maw opened to greet the Shadowclan medicine cat but she whisked past him without a word, something else clearly on her mind. Not long after, the other medicine cats began to filter through. An attempt at a smile flickered across his maw at the sight of each new pelt, yet, no cat stopped to speak with him. Crestfallen, the grey and white tom's ears dropped and his tail dragged on the stone.
He'd braced himself for the scent of Skyclan in hopes to not shrink away but that hadn't mattered. Dreams of traveling with the others to gather much needed herbs were swifly dashed away by the hurried steps of his counterparts. Littlesplash hardly knew them despite his wishes to learn. The young tom hardly had a mentor himself and every interaction between clans had been tense.
Perhaps he was destined to shoulder this position alone without guidance or companionship from those who could understand. The effort of a joyful expression faded away to a frowd. His shoulders slumped forward as he padded stiffly to the moonstone, laying with his nose to the glowing spectacle. It seemed less dazzling tonight, still Littlesplash hoped Starclan would provide guidance.

Hemlockfox woke up with a gasp from his dream, his fur standing on end from what StarClan had chosen to share with him. It hadn't been a frightening dream by any means, but the implications it held...this changed everything. The tom snarled softly and stood up, backing away from the Moonstone. This was so frustrating. Things had already changed so much - he hardly had the time to worry about whatever this meant. For now, he just needed to focus on what was right in front of him. As Smokepetal woke from her dream, Hemlockfox nudged her to her paws and away from the other medicine cats, not caring if she was confused or still groggy.
"Smokepetal, I need you to tell Wolfstar that I'll be back in a few days to talk to her, okay? And tell her that I'm sorry for leaving. I thought I had more time - but I'll explain everything soon, I promise." Hemlockfox wished he could stay longer or, better yet, return to SkyClan alongside Smokepetal, but Tigerstar still needed someone to keep an eye on him. The tom's tail lashed once, twice, then he spoke again, this time in a quieter voice.
"I'm sure you already knew..." He muttered, voice laced with fury. "That this was what would happen - that this was StarClan's plan for me." Hemlockfox took a deep breath, trying to shove the indignant betrayal deep down. It hurt that Sunfire had given up, but it hurt more that Smokepetal probably knew and had done nothing to prepare him. It didn't matter that he kept it a secret that he knew. She still should've said something. He thought she was better than Sunfire. Jaw clenched, the color point medicine cat shook his head. "Just tell everyone that I'm okay."
Eyes burning, Hemlockfox glanced over the other medicine cats as they awoke and stepped away from Smokepetal. "If SkyClan needs me, you know where to find me. Otherwise, I don't want to see you." It wasn't fair to be mad at Smokepetal - not really - but she had been his mentor, she should've done...something. He wasn't what, but there was no one else to be mad at. Not after what he'd just discovered. Without another word, Hemlockfox turned and padded away, his chest tight and head pounding. It wasn't fair.
