Of course she couldn't hold Beechfang under for long. The murderer, faced with the death she'd inflicted, panicked and rose up in a blaze of claws and teeth. Perchstar took the hit, but also took advantage of her opponent's dazed state to land a heavy hit on the waterlogged she-cat. She rose up on her hind legs and brought both paws down hard on Beechfang's already-dizzy head, nearly slamming her to the ground with the force of the blow. Though she was tired too, she knew that she was on the verge of victory. Not even a cat as strong as the murderer could hold on for much longer.

Perchstar used Upright Lock, dealing 14 (12+2) damage and costing 9 (10-1) stamina.

Vipershade snarled at the names, his lip peeling outrageously, "So you're part of the scum that attacked our camp." He hissed, blood splattering as he spoke. "Crying little kits murdering queens and mentors in response because your sibling did it to himself." His hackles raised, emotions and rage simmering dangerously. Irrationality rearing its ugly head. "What is the point now anyways? Everyone is dead and your brothers 'murderer'" Vipershade pitched his voice mockingly-"is dead too." He stood himself over the tom, rearing to shred that belly to bits once more. "I WISH I killed that stupid brother of yours. But I'll just have to settle for you instead. And there's no Dawnhawk to stop me." Vipershade spat.

As he launched backwards, her teeth only clenched down tighter, and a feral growl emanated from the tortoiseshell leader as her opponent slammed them towards the ground. Somehow, though she'd absorbed some of the shock, the tom's larger body unintentionally shielded her from what otherwise would've likely dislodged her maw. Her claws sunk into his pelt as she had him in close proximity, and she was just fine with hiding beneath him. Wasn't like his paws were facing her, anyways.

Mottlestar used "Hang on to the bucking Bronco" aka Teeth Grip! It dealt 12 (10+2) damage and used 9 (10-1) stamina. Sunfire is gripped for 2/2 turns!

When Sunfire rolled back to his paws, Mottlestar was still there. An enraged roar ripped out of the tom, and he bucked again, turning to try and snap at her, but between his own ruff and the weight of her preventing him from turning his head all the way, he couldn't get a hold. Taking several heavy, panting breaths, he stood there for a heartbeat, eyes wildly searching for something, anything he could use to his advantage. His gaze swept across the trunk of an old oak, and then without thinking he charged forward, turning his shoulder at the last second so that Mottlestar took the brunt force of his collision with the tree.

The bold move knocked the wind out of him, though, and the yellow tom stumbled away, his breath coming in quick, frenzied wheezes.

Sunfire used TREE! (Front Paw Blow) on Mottlestar, dealing 7 damage at the cost of 5 stamina. Sunfire is no longer gripped.

It would have been easy enough to presume that the tortoiseshell more than had the wind knocked out of her as they collided with the tree. She certainly did, and the blow was enough for her maw to be dislodged. To her satisfaction, at least, a particularly bloodied pool now existed square between the tom's shoulders. Unfortunately, one of her smaller teeth had been left with it, and she took just a moment to shake off the odd sensation.

Recoiled against the trunk for just a moment, as the tom was catching his own breath, she launched forward. Her bloodied maw clamped down on one of his back paws, and her claws shredded down the length of his hindquarter. If he made it out of this battle, there was no escaping her marks.

Mottlestar used "Copy Sunfire's Good Idea!" She used Snap + Desperate Blows, dealing a total of 20 (10+2, +6+2) damage and using a total of 12 stamina.

Trembling limbs betrayed Sunfire for a split second before he forced them still. He was tired, and the little leader had proven it wasn't a fluke that she'd matched him the first time, something that made him angry more than anything else. She was so small, he clearly was stronger, and tougher, and should have had the upper paw but no, every time he thought he had an advantage, she turned it in her favor.

Finally his bruised lungs allowed him to take in more than a mouthful of air, and he sucked in a breath like his life depended on it, shaking his head to clear his vision. Sunfire felt movement behind him, and turned in time to avoid Mottlestar's teeth, but not her claws. They raked down his haunch, leaving bloody furrows, but he paid it no mind as he lashed out with a paw, aiming straight for her eyes.

Sunfire used Dodge and Fight, recovering 12 hp at the cost of 7 stamina and dealing 7 damage in retaliation.

"So you're part of the scum that attacked our camp." Falconmoon's lips twitched as he held back an even bigger grin. Instead, he turned his head sideways with as if confused, but coupled it with a knowing stare. "Hm? What do you mean?" Taunting him was part of the game. He blinked at and stared as if surprised. "My sibling? He? Do you mean Sunfire?" His tail tip twitched and his claws flexed into the dirt. "Your brother's murderer is dead too." And now Falconmoon actually was confused. He allowed a pause before mewing out. "... Yay?" Then he continued to speak and Falconmoon pieced it together.

Oh. Oooohhhhhhhhh! ..... Oh. The expressions flickered across his face, from realization, to actually connecting the dots... to realizing what a mistake he'd made. Regardless... he was already in this fight. If Nightstalker hadn't been his opponent already he would have been at some point, no doubt. All this revelation did was potentially save Nightstalker from a gruesome death. We need to be more careful. Falconmoon and his alter agreed for once.

"And there's no Dawnhawk to stop me."

Now Falconmoon laughed. Not a loud, obnoxious laugh, just one one might make when sharing an inside joke with a friend.

"Yeah, you're right. Forget about that guy. Enjoy me instead." And with that, Falconmoon lurched forward, snagged an unprepared Nightstalker's face with his claws, then darted to his side to clamp the side of his neck with his teeth.

Falconmoon used Random Recall and Snap, dealing 10 damage and -12SP Falconmoon is no longer stunned!

His paw came slashing across her face, and the claws skidded right along her eyelids. She'd only barely managed to squeeze her eyes shut in time, but that didn't entirely save her face entirely. A loud yowl was evoked right out of her as her skull had no choice but to follow the impact of the blow, and crimson covered every-other blink for the tortoiseshell leader. He didn't blind her, at least, not completely, but the damage to her eyes was unmistakable.

A vicious snarl followed the leader as she lept directly for the tom's head. It was a maneuver he'd certainly recognize, especially as her claws forced themselves to once more go to pierce where she had previously scarred. His head would be shoved directly into the earth against the root of the tree they'd ended up against, and she had no problem in thrusting the rest of her body atop the tom's back to keep him pinned in place. Blood dripped down her face to an unmistakable mask of wrath and blood, a crown of a war tyrant that she became when locked in combat with the tom now beneath her paws.

Mottlestar leaned her head in directly next to the tom's torn ear. The one she'd taken. A hiss sounded right into it, full of the feral exhaustion and rage that poured throughout her body. "Are you done making the same mistake twice, kit?" She snarled, her blinking frequent due to the blood that still poured over her vision. Down her entire face. A few drops finding themselves on top of Sunfire, even. A low, throaty laugh followed it, one that seemed almost amused at the entire situation. As if sanity had fully slipped away from her claws in this combat. "A father who can't protect his own kit, or his Clan, because he's too blinded by pride. You should be ashamed."

Mottlestar decided that, apparently, offending Sunfire is her goal. She used Thunderous Stomp, and Front Paw Strike!
This absolute WOMBO of a COMBO dealt a total of 18 damage (4+2, and 10+2) and used 15 (10-1, 7-1) stamina!
Sunfire is now stunned for one turn!

Paws slamming her head into the ground rattled Beechfang, and the Skyclanner stumbled, a hiss of pain ripped from her. Everything hurt, but she had to push past it. Still, her paws felt unsteady as she lurched toward Perchstar, grabbing at the back of her neck. She still might not make it out of this, but she was determined to take the Riverclan as close to death with her as she could. Grabbing her, Beechfang shook roughly. If Perchstar wanted to treat her and her clan like dogs, she would be treated in kind.

Beechfang used Scruff Shake for -20 sp, dealing -10 damage. Perchstar is stunned for TWO turns.
