Briarthorn hissed as the molly yanked on her tail, exactly as she had at the very beginning of this battle. What, could she not even come up with an original move? Whatever, she must have been getting desperate at this point.

Briarthorn is no longer stunned.

Stormwatchers vield of view spun but he was aware of two things... 1) poppyshine was up on her paws moments later and back in the fight.

Part of him was relived that he had not killed her... he hated these riverclanners but now that the anger spike had passed and was ebbing away he knew that a killer was not who he was.

The second awful thing he noticed was his good friend attacking the riverclan meddie.

"NOOO SUNN YOU FOOOL!!!" he was only abel to think to himself, did sunfire want to just keep them as the villians? He gritted his teeth just trying to stay on his paws from the stun that perch had given him

His thoughts drifted to home... to Stoneheart his previous appretnice and Ospreypaw his current appretnice. He had failed. These riverclan cats would come for them next and he was powerless to stop them from killing both his beloved apprentices that he always had a soft spot for.

He wiped a paw over his face it all blood stained with a mix of his own and poppy's. This was just all so horrifiying, he was horrified at what this battle was doing to his mind, all this fighting was for what? Just to continue it again with his friend now attacking another med cat?

why why why would you do that...

he tried to point with his tail to get perch to turn around and look at what was happening, he himself wanted to stop sunfire and drag him off the med cat but felt his eyes darkening with exhaution. He knew it wouldnt work the leader was so focused on him now that she would not see her own med cat being torn up.

Whoever this cat was beneath her paws, his bloodlust had made the shift to frantic desperation once he realized that he would be losing the fight. Don't be confident enough to pick battles you can't win. This was never a battle you could win. Perchstar had no sympathy for these cats, and especially not for this tom who had so brutally injured Poppyshine, and threatened to kill her. For all Birdchaser's whining and self-victimization, her Clan had not looked well in this battle. These were not the actions of cats who only wished to defend. She still did not wish to kill this tom, despite how eager he had been to murder. There had been only one death necessary today--that death was completed. So she would simply claw at him until he stopped. Until he stopped threatening, until he stopped blustering, until he stopped attacking, until he stopped moving.

Her claws raked heavily down his shoulder, opening up a wound that would hopefully be large enough to cause pain and get him to stop fighting, but small enough to not cause a debilitating injury like removing his leg or infecting him to the point of death. It was a difficult balance to strike. But she had to finish fighting him, and quickly, so that she could turn around and see whatever on earth had forced the expression of a callous tom like him to change so quickly to horror. It was difficult to swallow down the anxiety that reawoke. What if Cindersky or Poppyshine had suddenly been killed? What if something bad was happening to Littlesplash? But it could be a battle tactic; and if she took her eyes off of this tom for a second, he could kill her as he'd threatened to kill Poppy. There was no reason to trust him. Even if she didn't think he was capable of deceit, he would simply attack her once she turned her back. She had to stop him first.

Perchstar could have gone for his throat. She did not. She knew that these SkyClan cats had little to no powers of perception, but some part of her that was not lost in the fog of battle hoped that he would notice and take heed that his life had been spared.

Perchstar used Front Paw Strike, dealing 12 (10+2) damage and costing 6 (7-1) stamina. KO Pending.

Stormwatcher jumped out of the way just in time and glared at the leader. Its not like he actually hurt poppyshine that badly she was already up and running about again so it was all but mute really.
