With another round of predator culling underway, Virtue was beginning to feel more comfortable with the lay of the land. Though he wasn't foolish enough to go anywhere he pleased. Paths had begun to open up with his party and ShadowClan teaming up, so those were what he was following; on top of the scent of a fox. A silent yet commanding flick of a scarred tail was a signal to Badgermask and Wolfpaw to drop into the shadow. "Our opponent has its back turned, which is the ideal position to use this move. Attack from the shadows. The only time your opponent needs to know where you are is when your teeth are sinking into the soft flesh of its lower leg. Be swift and confident in your movements. Hesitate and you will lose the advantage."

There was no better way to learn than to do it themselves. Virtue took a slight step back, nodding his head in assurance that he would be following close behind with his own attacks. He would not leave them to fight alone.

Badgermask's eyes gleamed as she followed after Virtue - hungry for the knowledge that he and these 'Riders of the Storm' were offering them. Predators were always a risk that the Clan faced and she was determined to gain the skills to easily remind them whose territory they were on and protect her Clan. She was far less interested in being paired with an apprentice of all cats, but it couldn't be helped - she would make do.

As Virtue signaled for them to stop, she did so - tasting the air before her lips curled at the scent of a fox. Scanning the area, she spotted their target as the tom explained what to do. She nodded, taking lead as she dropped into a crouch and stalked forward towards the unaware fox. Her eyes were narrowed, focused on the fox's leg as she tried to judge where would be the best spot to strike before she launched herself forward and sank her teeth into its calf.

Badgermask used Ankle Bite on the wild fox, dealing 8 damage and costing 30 stamina. The fox's damage is halved for 1 turn.

This was a fox? He expected it to be bigger. Toothier. Especially with the way cats went on about it. It did live up to its reputation of stinking, though, and it made his nose wrinkle. His paws went to move at Virtue's signal-- weird cat, didn't really want them here. Leopard-whatever said that they should, and he supposed he owed it to them for giving him a chance to bite something. Yet, before he could slink in, Badgermask had taken the lead.

His eyes narrowed, teeth clenched and lip curled in frustration. Whatever. He moved alongside Badgermask, and once the first bite was dealt, he swung out with his own claws. Elation shot through him when he felt them slice through the foxes pelt, the rust-scent of blood still weak, but it was there. He wanted to sink his teeth into it too. Desperately.

Wolfpaw uses Front Paw Strike on the Fox, dealing 6 DMG and using 7 SP.

A well excuted hit from Badgermask began the fight, the fox squealing from the surprise pain. It stumbled as it turned to face its first attacker with a mouth full of angry teeth. Kill. Kill the bigger one. The small one could wait for when the calico fell... The fox's eyes widened as a third cat appeared. Outnumbered! Surrounded!

Fox used Iron Bite (halved) dealing 9 damage and costing 30 SP.

A cheer from Virtue sounded as he burst from the shadows alongside Wolfpaw, though the vibes felt a little off once the apprentice had drawn blood. His eye narrowed, but he wouldn't dwell on it any further. Especially not while in the heat of battle; besides, he and the Riders of the Storm would not be around for much longer once those kits were born and strong enough to walk on their own. "Into the shadows, Wolfpaw! Badgermask and I will keep it distracted!"

Virtue used Dirty Trick paired with Headbutt, dealing a total of 14 damage and costing 12 SP.

A gray shape whizzed past him, and then started telling him what to do. His paws itched and he wanted to swing at the outsider instead for commanding him, but then a moment of clarity and he exhaled sharply. Virtue was telling him to do the thing he wanted to learn. With a pivot of his paws, he vanished like a ghost.

He could be stealthy, for a brutish apprentice. He studied the unfolding battle with narrowed eyes, waiting for an opening. His mouth hung open, the scent of blood making him salivate. He thought his heart might explode out of his chest. Then the moment came, and he seized it. His teeth clamped down on the untouched leg, opposite to the one Badgermask had pierced. Two bad legs. The salty, warm taste brought a growl of glee to his throat, and he sank his teeth further down with as much strength as he could muster. He wanted to hear a crunch. He probably wouldn't.

Wolfpaw used Ankle Bite on the fox, dealing 8 DMG and using 30 SP. The fox's damage is halved for one turn.
