Riders of the Storm [ShadowClan Clanwide 2024]

Welcome to the 2024 ShadowClan Clanwide! After a long and arduous journey, ShadowClan has finally made it home… But they did not come alone. Thankfully, these Nomadic travelers aren’t looking for a fight. After using their unique abilities to fend off two dogs for a struggling ShadowClan, Leopardstar and Sablestrike agreed to allow them to use Carrionplace as refuge for an expecting queen. Until May 2nd, 2024, these cats will be available to teach current and future clanmates new moves and buffs:

Scout

Living a nomadic life means it is dangerous to travel in large groups, making stealth against potential predators a must.

Shadow Step

When rolling the Hunting Dice, if you encounter a predator, you have the option of rolling the 'Effect Dice' in an attempt to hide in the shadows.
Can only be used ONCE per hunting topic per character. Uses 10 SP.

Note: If you roll another predator in your re-roll, you will now have to fight that predator.

1,2,3 = fail, you must fight the predator
4,5,6 = success, you can roll the hunting die again

Soldier

Being prepared for the various predators that inhabit the different lands they visit during their travels, Soldiers dedicate their training to taking down predators and defending their kin.

Ankle Biter [Special]

You nip at the soft tendons of a predator's leg before their attack, catching them by surprise. Causes disorientation from the surprise pain, causing the damage from the predator's next attack(s) to be halved to the nearest whole number: i.e. 17 halved would be 9. Must roll the 'Effect Dice' for the duration. Classed as a Special move, usable once per predator per cat.

Note: Enemy cats do not count as a predator.

1,2,3 = 1 turn of half predator damage

4,5,6 = 2 turns of half predator damage

Apprentices and Warriors deal 8 damage. Can only be used ONCE per battle per character. Uses 30 SP.

Kits deal 4 damage. Can only be used ONCE per battle per character. Uses 30 SP.

To encourage new ShadowClan blood, only kits born during this Clanwide will get the chance to learn both of these new moves. After that, it will go back to a limit of one move per character! If you would like parents to interact with, please check out Parent/Kit Finder! As a bonus, new perma-NPC kits within ShadowClan are included.

Apprentices and Warriors will only be able to learn ONE of these moves per character. You don’t need to be ShadowClan blood to learn these moves, but you will only be able to use them within ShadowClan ranks. Meaning if you choose to leave ShadowClan for any reason, these moves will now be unavailable to you and are unable to be taught outside of ShadowClan.

After the Clanwide is over, these moves can still be taught to newer members within ShadowClan but you will still have to choose one or the other. A cat who knows Ankle Biter will be able to teach a Clanmate this move only if they don’t already know Shadow Step and vice versa. If for some reason the last cat to know either Shadow Step or Ankle Biter dies without ever passing it on to another clanmate, the move will die out forever.

In order to learn these moves, you must participate in at least two topics with the Nomads teaching you said move(s)! After the Clanwide, this requirement will shift to allow any cat that knows the move to teach it.

All four know these two moves, but Steadfast and Virtue are trained as Soldiers while Cherish and Muse are trained as Scouts.
