Things will be better (closed)

No amount of coughs or sneezes could keep Stoatclaw down for too long, or at least that's what the tom had decided. Sitting still was an impossibility these days. His mate was so close to finally shedding her clan in favor of his, that thought alone made Stoatclaw want to move. He felt jittery, like he was overflowing with strange energy that he shouldn't have but was glad for. At the very least he could channel it into something productive for his clan like hunting. The tom shot a glance backwards at Mintglade, the warrior that had offered to accompany him on this patrol. She seemed like an odd cat to him, but nowhere near the kind of monster he had associated with Skyclan warriors. Actually, ever since Blackbear had disappeared the clan seemed to be thinning out those types of monsters, very few exceptions not included. Perhaps... Perhaps things could be better?

Stoatclaw's mouth moved to form a smile, a rare sight to any of his clanmates that weren't named Astershine. "Thank you for joining me, Mintglade, I appreciate your company. Let's make our clan pro-" A fit overtook the tom cutting his small talk short as he all but coughed his lungs right out of his chest. What great timing!

Hoppy-paws. If she had to give a nickname to the tom that she currently accompanied, she'd nickname him Hoppy-paws. It was pretty cute in a way, actually. Something was on his mind as he seemed to bounce from one side to the other, the strange anxiety rolling off of him also carrying some underlying current of enthusiasm. Just what it was that had him feeling this way, exactly, was lost on the large silver molly as she gave a warm prrt~ as he glanced back. She would always be friendly, so long as they were her clanmate.

She had her own anxieties on her mind, too, especially as her own coughs seemed to echo his own. Not long after did she have to sneeze, and though Smokepetal's herbs were helping her be a functional member of Skyclan again, they hadn't exactly beaten back her symptoms into hiding in whatever pit of the Dark Forest they came from. "One sneeze at a time." She joked, giggling to herself at her own little jest. Shaking her head to clear away her amusement, Mintglade took the lead from Stoatclaw as they moved about their new, temporary home. "Glad to join! I don't like being stuck at camp." It was true. If she could be out spending time with a Clanmate, she would.

"Think we can find anything good?" She mused out loud. For Mintglade, it was hard to keep her inward thoughts... in. They always had to appear out of her maw in one way or another. Hopefully, it wouldn't annoy Stoatclaw. If it did? She'd do her best to be quiet...er. Quieter. At least she could be quiet as they got to a clearing that actually offered some semblance of hunting possibilities.

Her head snapped upwards as the faintest chittering of a bird caught her attention. With her green eyes widening, her whiskers twitched as she was more than ready to go after the bird. However, just as she went to go towards it, the crunch! of a pile of snow underpaw gave her away. It startled the feathered creature, and Mintglade couldn't help her breath of frustration as it disappeared. Instantly, she went to look towards Stoatclaw to see if he had any better luck.
