Quickpaw's Warrior Ceremony

It was getting easier, or at least Tigerdance liked to believe it was getting easier, dealing with everything that happened over the last moon or so. The sickness still lingered but the herbs that Daisypaw gave him did help with alleviating the symptoms somewhat. He could still feel the worst of it lingering but he could function a little bit better now. Performing ceremonies was easier as well. Which was where he was at now.

"Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather here for a clan meeting!" He called out to his clan. It was time to add another warrior to his ranks.

Quickpaw was surprised to hear the call for a clan meeting from Tigerdance again so soon. Seemed mere hours ago she was chanting her father’s name in celebration of his new rank. As she walked on over she thought of what it could be, it could really only be a warrior ceremony, as he had already addressed the disappearance of Smallstar, twice. Once there she looked around, seeing if she could find the oldest apprentice there, it seemed she was, that could only mean one thing. This would be it, her time as a warrior would begin.

"Today we are gathered to name another warrior. Our ranks are growing quickly." Happy to be naming another warrior in such a short time, hopefully they would come out of this illness on the positive side. "Quickpaw please come forward " The striped tom stated, waiting patiently for the she-cat to come forward.

Once Quickpaw settled in the front, Tigerdance continued. "Quickpaw do you promise to uphold the code and defend and honor Windclan even at the cost of your life?" The leader asked.

Quickpaw had been eager to find out she was becoming a warrior but, managed to keep her excitement inside, or so she thought. It seemed Tallshadow had found out what was happening solely off of her expression. She heard the deputy's next words loud and clear. She stepped forward proudly. Then to hear the next words the deputy said was a dream come true. She responded with the only thing she could “I do”

He was always pleased to hear apprentices agree to the statement. Especially after that one apprentice from Smallstar's early leadership. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. From this moment on you will be known as Quickfrost. We welcome you as a full warrior of Windclan. Congratulations." The leader said, following the typical ceremony procedure before stepping back to let her clanmates congratulate her.

Galekit

My first warrior ceremony! Galekit thought excitedly as he heard the clan summons and settled himself neatly next to his mother to witness the naming of a new warrior. "Quickfrost!!" Galekit squealed from Morningmoon's side as Tigerdance finished. His heart almost burst with pride for his clanmate and excitement as he imagined his own ceremony one day.

Quickfrost felt as if she finally lifted weight off her shoulders that had been there since she was made an apprentice. She thought back to the moments of when she was a kit, sleeping in the warriors den with her father, messing around with Dustkit. Then thought back to being an apprentice, her amazing mentor in Nectarflower, more messing around with Dustpaw and, a new brother in Tallshadow. Then, now she would be a warrior to start new memories that would be impossible to forget.

Quickfrost was brought back from her thoughts with Galekit excitedly shouting her new name. She cast a warm smile at him, it was always nice to see kits run around. Next she smiled at Sootstorm, he was still the nicest cat she knew even after becoming a warrior, perhaps her first choice to go to hunt. Then at Tallshadow, he was now the first cat to go to if she wanted to goof off, or play a game. Next Nectarflower,  she was a really nice cat, she could go to her with anything she needed to talk about. She at least just relaxed and thought about nothing as the cheers of the name Quickfrost was brought around.
