Silverwing didn't dare miss this gathering. She knew that a good conversation would allow her to forget the hunger clawing at her belly, all she needed was someone that was willing. Her first thought was Fuzzface, but at this moment it was impossible to find the tom. Instead of connecting with old clanmates why not old friends? There happened to be a pretty black-pelted molly with no one to talk to, how unfortunate! Silverwing made her way toward the molly, a smile at the ready. "Harriertalon! Stars it's been so long! How have you been?"

Sablestrike padded alongside his clanmates into the gathering on unsteady legs, taking a seat at the base of the Great rock with his fellow deputies. He didn't offer them any greetings this time, it was taking all of his concentration not to double over from the pains in his stomach. The tom prayed to Starclan that this gathering would be a quick one.

Stoatclaw's eyes snapped to his mate's pelt, instant joy forcing his paws toward her. "Cobwebs? What happened, you're okay right?" Of course she was, she had made the trip to Fourtrees. "Are you eating well? I can-" No, if anyone heard that he would be in big trouble. In a whisper barely loud enough for Lighttail to hear over the sounds of conversing cats, Stoatclaw spoke. "I could bring you some prey." Even if her wounds weren't great they still worried the tom, and it wouldn't be against the code if she was going to be a future Skyclan cat, right? Oh Stars, I never even asked her yet... Maybe he could ask before the night ended, or maybe he would get her to meet him again after the gathering...

Softpaw laid her ears flat on her head as she entered Fourtrees for the first time. All the sounds of cats speaking nonesense made her head buzz, and the sheer sight and scent of all the cats here was... Overwhelming. She couldn't help but shrink into the pelt of another apprentice, Crocuspaw.

Crocuspaw padded into the gathering after her siblings, Softpaw at her side. Crocuspaw was lost in her head a little bit until the slightly smaller she-cat pushed herself into Crocus's fur, which while it was short it was certainly dense. Crocuspaw leaned into Softpaw as well, resting her tail comfortingly against Softpaw's before she guided her companion down into the clearing and trying to find a spot that at least was a little bit sparse.

Lighttail shook her head. “I can’t accept that,” she whispered. “It looks like everyone’s short on prey. And well, there was a bit of an incident. Please don’t tell anyone unless Leopardstar announces it, but we kinda got attacked by rats… the entire clan.” Her heart pounded in her chest and she closed her eyes to block out the images.

As they all came together, beaten by the forest's recent cruelties as they were, Mottlestar could only fake a laugh. "Surviving. That is about all I can say at this point... and I hope that we don't have to just survive much longer." The exhaustion clearly wore itself on the tortoiseshell's face as she looked to the other leaders, before her gaze swept out amongst all the clans. No cat looked as if they were feeling particularly well, and that was a fact that gnarled itself at Mottlestar's stomach. Flashbacks to when the Dark Forest had held its grasp on the forest came to her mind, when the evil spirits from below had seized all of the Clans with little mercy. It made her rather distant for some time, before suddenly snapping back together.
Whatever had been said to her in the interim hadn't registered, the surprise as she seemed to catapult back into her own body only brief before she stepped forward. "Let the gathering begin!" It took more effort to use her voice to the strength she was used to. But... that was fine. It would be fine. It had to be fine.
"Though we face a prey shortage, Thunderclan remains strong. We welcome Redsun as a full warrior, as well as Bluepaw and Sandpaw to the apprentice's den. That is all." With a dip of her head, she stepped back. For an already-small feline, she looked even smaller atop the rock. It wasn't like she had the fluff of the Windclan leader to hide her thinned frame; it was simply obvious from one look at her. Still, she fought to stand tall and proud. For her Clan.

Tigerdance was on the slower side this time around, bringing up the rear of Windclan, being the last to take his spot near the deputies, of course he didn't forget his formalities. He dipped his head in greeting to the others before turning his attention towards the leaders.

"I was a kit when everyone lived at Fourtrees for a while," Lightningbreeze shrugged lightly. "And I've met one or two since then. But it's always exciting, right? Talking to someone who lives differently than you do!"
Lightningbreeze is talking with Swiftheart! Leopardstar let out a breath she hadn't known she was holding when Mottlestar spoke, beginning the Gathering. She wasn't going to admit that she worried, leaving ShadowClan's camp in the care of those who had chosen not to attend this moon's Gathering. It was a more founded concern than usual, after what had transpired just days earlier.
On that note, the recent happenings in ShadowClan weren't things she particularly wanted to share with the forest. Skunkpaw's sudden blindness, the rats descending on their camp, Nightstalker's disappearance...
"ShadowClan has little in the way of announcements. What matters is that we remain strong in the face of adversity, as we always have."
She had always been tall and thin, but looked even more so with the recent lack of food. Still, if she felt the effects of the famine, she didn't show it; with an even stare leveled over the clearing and a confidence to her voice as it carried on the icy winds of the night.

Sleepyhollow stood close to her siblings, eyes focusing on a point in the distance as the leaders started to speak.
Echosong curled his tail around his paws as he sat near the other medicine cats engaging in the formal pleasantries but offered no more than that.
Foxtrot lingered near the exit, his tail itching to leave but he nodded towards those he recognized smiling when he was smiled at. He just wanted to be home.

Finchpaw padded into the Gathering, her mentor a few tail-lengths ahead. The dappled she-cat quickly darted off as soon as she arrived at the clearing, pushing past the crowds of cats to the edge of the clearing. The foul and unfamiliar scents of the other Clans clung to her fur, ruining the lavender scent she had worked so hard for to stay on. With an annoyed huff, she sat down and curled her tail over her paws stiffly, then awaited for the Gathering to start.

Watching as the Thunderclan leader stepped forward, and then the Shadowclan leader, Smallstar jumped in and took a chance to speak. "Twolegs have been spotted on the moors this moon. I recommend that you all be careful. Uh. I don't think it's as bad as... last leaf-bare. But be careful anyways." Smallstar cleared his throat, uncertainly shifting his eyes to the leaders beside him before letting them fall to the crowd below. "Finchpaw and Eveningpaw join us this gathering... Uh. That is all I have to say." Brows furrowing, the Windclanner stepped back, eyes angled downwards but ears raised to listen to the words of the other leaders.

If there had been little to announce this Gathering, there was even less to announce this moon. What was to be said? "We are struggling and starving?" No... if Perchstar had learned one thing from Jaystar, it was that she should not disclose the weaknesses of her own Clan in such a public venue. Secretly to Mottlestar and Birdstar whom she trusted, perhaps. But not to WindClan and ShadowClan. Not to every warrior and apprentice and elder that attended. Not to the whole forest. It was obvious to all that every Clan was struggling... she did not need to confess their particular weakness. The last thing she wanted right now was for WindClan to make their promised bid for the Gorge, even if Smallstar did seem less bloodthirsty than Shrikestar had been.
In response to Birdstar's question, Perchstar couldn't help but offer a slightly wry twist to her mouth, if only momentarily. "As well as a fish on land." Her ear flicked slightly. "We do what we can... as I imagine ThunderClan and SkyClan must be doing now, as well."
Soon enough the Gathering began. It seemed that all Clans were struggling evenly, and very few had anything to announce; Leopardstar's words were particularly terse and short. The news of Twolegs was alarming, but unsurprising, and she offered a quick nod to Smallstar in acknowledgement. Then, wishing to get her own announcements over with, Perchstar took her turn to step briefly away from the huddle of her allied leaders. "RiverClan remains strong as we take care of each other," she said simply. "Our borders and our allies remain." That was all that could really be said. With that, she stepped back.

Nectarflower padded into the clearing, bringing up the rear end of the Windclan patrol. It was her first gathering since her kits had been born, though any excitement over that fact was dampened by the hunger that roiled in her belly. Their moors had never been particularly rich in prey like the forests, but with the weather getting colder, that was quick to change. It wouldn't be so bad, of course, if it weren't for the twolegs plaguing their territory like a pack of wild dogs.
It was a poor time for her kits to become apprentices, but then again, her apprenticeship hadn't been particularly smooth. She was thankful, however, that she'd never seen battle during the war with Shadowclan. Her kits, on the other paw, would have to weather this famine. It would touch every aspect of their lives, their training, their moods, their relationships with the other clans...it was worrying to say the least. She could be happy, though, that all seemed well tonight.
Finding a quiet place at the edge of the clearing, Nectarflower took a seat, resting her weary paws. Her coat, while on the longer side, did little to protect her from the occasional chill that passed through fourtrees. Hopefully, this gathering would be a swift one. She remained alone for the majority of the gathering, watching as her clanmates mingled with the others. Then, Mottlestar stepped forward to begin the announcements. Each leader spoke in turn and Nectarflower's heart lifted at the mention of two of her daughters, a purr rumbling in her chest. Eveningpaw and Finchpaw had already become apprentices and she was so proud...it just seemed to be happening so fast - such was life she supposed.
