Duskkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Tigerdance shook out his fur, removing any dust that had might have gathered, before jumping up on the Tall Rock. Green eyes looking out into the camp before calling the meeting. "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gathering here for a clan meeting!"

Finally cough-free, Duskkit joined the gathering cats. At seven and a half moons, she was well past apprentice age. Still, she was small. Or rather, skinny. Even for a WindClan cat, the brown tabby was alarmingly thin. Her eyes were as bright as anyone’s, though. Duskkit hoped this would finally be her ceremony. She had so many cats to get to know beyond the nursery and medicine den!

Tigerdance noted that Duskkit had finally joined the growing crowd meaning that he could continue on with the ceremony. "Today we are gathered here to name another apprentice. Duskkit please come forward." The tall striped tom waited patiently for the kit to come forward before he continued to speak. Duskkit you have reached apprentice age. From this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Duskpaw. Your mentor will be Sleepyhollow. I hope she passes on everything she knows to you." With that the ceremony was over and the deputy jumped off the rock.

Finally. She was finally here. Heart pounding with joy, the skinny brown tabby frantically began scanning the crowd for her mentor.
