Kurama led his family through the forest that night... his family of 8. He'd trained his immediate offspring for this day their whole lives, to get vengeance on the cats of Skyclan that had terrorized his family from his very beginning. The dark one with the stripes and scars... and the silver one too. They'd hunted their kind hatefully for years, practically wiping out his own family. He was there, a kit himself when it began. He hid in brush and watched as his family fell to the claws of vengeful cats... for what? For doing nothing more than acting like foxes and hunting for food? No more!
He was an older fox, knowing he would likely die in this battle, but he cared not. It was his grandsons and grand-daughters he worried about... not that they'd die, but that they'd retreat before the task was finished. They weren't as dedicated or as hateful as he was, or even their own parents. They had little reason to be. It was mostly dogs they feared, but dogs were dumb beasts and easily outsmarted. Cats were the real killers. He was doing them a favor by putting them through this. He was showing them the reality of nature... of the world.
"Kill at least the dark striped one. He is old now. Kill the silver one too, the one with one eye." His orders were clear and his family nodded. I must live long enough to see them die... He thought, setting his face into one of steely determination as they approached the Skyclan camp. He could die peacefully tonight... as long as he took his family's murderer with him. The foxes were unaware of the security measures that the cats had put in place however... and once they entered the beginnings of the camp, leaves and sticks crunched loudly, their bodies breaking beneath the weight of vengeful predators.
Kurama's teeth gnashed in frustration. "ATTACK! NOW!" He yipped. His family surged forward, the forest alive with the breaking and snapping of twigs and leaves and the war cries of 9 foxes.

Bloodstrike had been curled up in the warrior's den when the cacophony of noise that was Skyclan's alarm rang out. Really??? The one time he opted out of the Night Guard? He was on his feet in an instant. Horrendous pain shot up from his toes and pulsed against his elbows for just an instant. He grit his teeth and forced himself to move forward, aching paws or no. His eyes landed on... "Starclan save us..." He muttered, frozen for a moment, as a small army of foxes entered camp with snapping teeth and fire in their eyes. One in particular looked older, scraggly... and about as done with the world as Bloodstrike was. The large tom charged forward, his green eyes burning with hatred at the mere sight of a stars-cursed fox. The fox's eyes lit up, he yipped something, then barreled toward Bloodstrike as if he knew him.
Cat and fox collided with a an audible thud.
Falconmoon was out of the den only an instant after Bloodstrike. His blue gaze landed on the foxes... and for a moment he didn't believe it. He looked at their legs, expecting to see members of the Asylum wearing fox pelts to attack Skyclan. How ironic that would have been... Alas, these foxes were real. What in Starclan?? He had no more time to think. The foxes were spreading out, jaws seeking to destroy anything they could reach. Falconmoon caterwauled, hoping to awaken anyone who may somehow be still aslee[, then kicked off of a nearby tree and tackled one of the foxes.
Lionstripe came charging out of the warrior's den like his tail was ablaze. His eyes were wide with confusion, having been pulled sharply out of dream world into the realm of nightmares and terror. Bloodstrike and Falconmoon were engaged in battle already. He swallowed his fear, remembered the name his mother gave him was for a reason... and likewise charged into combat.

Whinchatpaw awoke to the sound loud yelping and he knew they came from intruders when they crunched through the camp's defensive measures. Immediately the stench of foxes crowded the camp, their snarls waking the entire clan. The tom leapt to his feet, yowling for the cats who were somehow still asleep to fight. "Up, everyone! We're under attack! he called as his eyes landed on cold yellow ones.
The fox's stare sent chills down his spine, but the apprentice shook off his fear and barreled into it with claws outstretched. The impact of the tackle sent both him and the red-furred creature tumbling beside the den. "Stick together and protect eachother!" he warned. With the fox away from the entrance, the younger apprentices would not be trapped inside the den if another one targetted them. Though he knew his bad leg put him at a huge disadvantage, he couldn't just stand back and watch. Claws digging into fur, he fought with ferocious energy, refusing to let the foxes get away with invading their sanctuary.

The loud snapping of branches was quick to wake Wolfblossom from her nest, the deputy rushing outside of the warrior's den right on the heels of Bloodstrike and Falconmoon, alarm jolting through her. Foxes... Two, three, four... Nine. Nine foxes. "SKYCLAN! DEFEND!" The deputy's pale blue gaze swept over them even as she yowled for the clan to wake. If the snapping of their early warning system around camp hadn't woken them, if the foxes yipping and growling hadn't woken them, her clanmates would be awoken by her, surely. Before the echoes of her voice could begin to fade, the deputy was charging forward. Bloodstrike, Falconmoon, Lionstripe... Whinchatpaw was by the apprentice den, but there were far too many foxes who needed to be engaged. They stalked through Skyclan's camp, and one stalked toward the nursery. The deputy snarled as she slammed into it. This one was not going to go after Skyclan's kits and queens and survive.

Roused by the snapping and yipping, Graywind stumbled from her nest with wide eyes. Foxes... So many foxes. It brought back memories of the four that had invaded camp that day Birdstar had taken a patrol to fourtrees... But there were more of them now. Many more. Skyclan had grown in numbers since then, but Graywind's heart felt like it was in her throat as she forced her paws to move. A fox had gone toward the elder's den... Hazelshade would be in there, vulnerable. Wolfblossom had gone for the fox who dared to go close to the nursery, and Graywind would not let this one attack the clan elders either.
Graywind used Snap on Fox 4 for -7 sp, dealing -8 damage. Graywind used Desperate Blows on Fox 4 for -7 sp, dealing -5 damage.

Stoneheart was quick to find her way out of the den at the sound of trouble, fur standing on end as she stared around at the foxes in camp. Great Starclan... But there was no time to sit and stare in shock. The warrior leaped forward, claws unsheathed. There was a fox on the edge of camp that looked unsure... She would fix that real quick. Stoneheart leaped for it, pinning the fox down and raking at the creature's back with unsheathed claws.
Stoneheart used Leap and Hold on Young Fox 3 for -15 sp, dealing -10 damage. Young Fox 3 is PINNED for ONE turn.

A low growl escaped Beechfang at the crackling of sticks and debris around camp. She had just fixed up the camp's edges with Whinchatpaw... Looks like they would be doing more than that when these foxes were dealt with. Foxes... How she hated them. The sight of them brought back memories of Sagelight, of Dustpaw, of pain and fury. She had just told Crookedlight that Skyclan had seemed boring, she had been waiting for the other paw to drop for moons now when she returned to a seemingly peaceful Skyclan... It looked like the other paw had dropped.
The former medicine cat was oddly calm as she surveyed the camp. Bloodstrike would be fine to handle one, many clanmates had already joined. There were still foxes skulking around camp though, and one in particular caught her eye, moving toward the medicine den. Beechfang charged forward with a yowl, feinting to one side before slamming into the fox. This one would not make it into the den. It wouldn't get the chance to sink those filthy fangs into Smokepetal or Plumleaf. If Beechfang had her way, this one wouldn't make it out of camp at all.
Funny, she thought. She had eschewed the dark forest, but when it came to protecting her clan, the muscle memory remained, and she had fallen back on their fighting technique like it was second nature.
Beechfang used Dishonorable Charge on Young Fox 2 for -20 sp, dealing -10 damage. Young Fox 2 is STUNNED for TWO TURNS.

Lightningbreeze was a light sleeper, and SkyClan's alert system woke her easily just as the call to defend camp rang out. She never did stop to hesitate, instead leaping immediately into action; hardly sparing a moment to wonder why there were foxes in their camp in the first place. It wasn't the first time they'd been invaded; but it never did go well for the invaders.

But she was a warrior. She'd fought as an apprentice, she could certainly fight as a warrior. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and she had made a vow to protect her Clan.

Foxtrot was awoken by the sound of Bloodstrikes cry. In an instant he was on his paws and tearing out of the warriors den, hot on their heels. Adrenaline filled his veins and blood pounded in his ears as he watched his namesake tear through the camp. Flattening his ears he immediately looked for Thymepaw, it would be her first battle. Growling he stalked towards the fox that was now facing Winchatpaw. Without hesitation he snapped at the fox’s heels, and lashed out wildly at its fiery pelt. Foxtrot felt hot blood spray onto his face as he reached its flesh. They would make quick work out of this thing.
Foxtrot used Snap and Desperate Blows for 13 damage (8+5) and 14 stamina (7+7)

It took very little for Sorrelpaw to wake, though it felt as though she was trapped in a nightmare. The crunch of the camp’s defences perked her ears, followed by a chorus of cries from something she had never seen until now. Unease sat heavy in her stomach at the noises filling camp. They made the fur on the back of her neck stand up. Something was wrong. Incredibly wrong. What was happening? She glanced towards Whinchatpaw as he got to his paws, scrambling to her own without a second thought. In little more than a moment her question was answered, letting out a cry as the fox gnashed at the entrance to their den, her paws trembling as she glanced nervously between her siblings. They had only been apprenticed recently; this would be their first proper battle. Would Cypress be safe in the nursery? It sounded like their camp had been invaded.
There was no time to be nervous. The grey cat gasped as Whinchatpaw barrelled into the fox and forced it away from the den entrance, a newfound respect for the older apprentice as he leapt straight into action. There were two options for any creature; flee or fight, but she was a SkyClan cat. There were no options. StarClan protect us!
Sorrelpaw leapt out after the pair, her mind swirling with concerns about her siblings, her parents. Her grandmother, aunts and uncles. There were too many cats she cared for to protect; for now she would try her hardest to defend the apprentice den with Whinchatpaw. The blurred pelt of her grandmother raced across camp. Focus! There would be time for worrying when these foxes were gone. A wave of reassurance washed over her as Foxtrot descended on the creature, thankful to have a warrior by their side. Sorrelpaw threw out her paws at the fox, unsheathed claws slashing at the beast.

Crash! Ploverpaw woke to the alarm system snapping under the weight of something. She rose her head to the low growls of something. She took in the stench of something. Fox, she instantly realized and sprung to her feet. “What’s happening!?” she cried, stumbling back into a denmate. An older apprentice, Whinchatpaw, quickly took command and announced, “We’re under attack!” before barreling into a fox at the entrance. She yelped seeing this, but quickly her mind was racked looking for a solution. “Don’t panic,” she sternly meowed to those nearest to her, “Just stay together.” Wolfblossom’s yowl hit her ears. Almost as if in slow motion, Sorrelpaw raced past and bore down upon the fox next. Fear swept her chest. “STAY! TOGETHER!” she yelled to her sister before sprinting after her.
Ploverpaw reached for the fox’s back leg and raked her claws as deep as she knew how. She prayed to destablize the threat, or at the very least cause a distraction and pull attention away from her denmates.

Bearpaw woke to the cries of his clanmate's and the thick scent of blood in the air. He gagged on the sharp tang and got to his paws, thick pelt prickling with fear. Blue eyes stared as Whinchatpaw burst into action, claws out as he drove the fox out of the den's entrance. Bearpaw was frozen, unsure of what to do until Sorrelpaw, then Ploverpaw threw themselves into the fray - he had to fight!
The sight of his sisters defending Skyclan spurred Bearpaw on and he let out a low warning growl before following them out of the den. In the clearing, the tang of blood was even stronger, causing Bearpaw's nose to wrinkle. Just outside of their den, he saw Whinchatpaw, Sorrelpaw, Ploverpaw and Foxtrot fending off the fox that had tried to get into their den.
However, upon further inspection, it wasn't just that fox. Bearpaw didn't take the time to count, but the moment his gaze landed on Wolfblossom defending the nursery from a larger, scarred fox, his eyes narrowed. She was battling the older fox alone - his sisters had two other cats helping them, they would be okay.
Ignoring Ploverpaw's earlier order to stick together, Bearpaw hared across the camp, dodging writhing masses of cats and foxes until, finally, he reached Wolfblossom. Teeth bared, the young apprentice snapped his jaws shut on the fox's tail, dug his claws into the earth, and sharply yanked his head to the side. It didn't matter that the fox hadn't recovered from Wolfblossom's attack. It didn't matter that he had surprised it with a sneaky move like that. This fox didn't deserve the honor that was reserved for other cats.
Bearpaw used Tail Yank on Fox 3, costing 15 SP and dealing 7 HP. Fox 3 is stunned for 1 turn.

Jaypaw woke to a bunch of cats screaming, and a fox in the apprentice den, What in StarClan is going on?!? there were too many STAY TOGETHER, and DEFEND SKYCLAN for his ears. He wanted to go out of the apprentice den because there were multiple foxes it seemed, from the screaming. However a fox was snapping at the apprentice den blocking him from getting out. Luckily Whin had thrust the fox out, he wanted to help kill it. There were already 4 cats battling it, that fox would not live much longer. Realizing this his body made the motions for him, and leapt. He blinked in surprise as he realized he was on top of the fox pinning him down. “Ive got it pinned! Throw your best attacks at it!” He wanted to be done with this fox invasion as soon as possible, so he could go back to a peaceful sleep.
Jaypaw used Leap and Hold Dealing 6 HP and Costing 15 SP!

Bubblepaw slept dreaming of rain that sparkled and shimmered in the sunlight.
Bubblepaw awoke to frantic screaming, shouting, and the unfamiliar, metallic scent of blood.
Pale green eyes shot wide open. This wasn't a dream. Her dreams were never this scary. Which meant... it had to be real. A strange sensation seized hold of her heart as she stumbled out of her nest, jaws agape, to see Ploverpaw and Sorrelpaw and a couple of other apprentices with claws unsheathed, fighting--was that a fox? She'd never seen one before. But its sharp teeth were massive. It was growling and snarling, trying to poke its head into the den, but being battered by a whole slew of her Clanmates. She was... she was supposed to fight at a time like this, right? But Rainfrost hadn't taught her how to fight yet! And what was this feeling that was making her legs tremble? Why was her heartbeat suddenly so fast?
She couldn't just hang back here. She couldn't. So, Bubblepaw managed to join the crowd of apprentices at the front--join her sisters, try not to gasp when she saw Bearpaw running straight past them and out into camp where there were more foxes? What? How many foxes were there?--and unsheathe her own claws. She'd practically never unsheathed them before. Even when playfully batting at her siblings, she'd always kept them sheathed. She learned how to take them out once, admired their shininess, and then put them away. But now... The apprentice swallowed, trying to fight off the sickening drop in the pit of her stomach as she looked at the fox. It was so much bigger than her. Those teeth... it could kill her if it bit her. The realization felt like a nightmare. None of this felt real. But slowly, as if she was swimming, she managed to dart out with a paw and slash at the fox. Her claws raked through fur and skin and came back a dark, crimson red. She stumbled back, suddenly feeling lightheaded and dizzy.
Bubblepaw used Front Paw Strike on Fox #5, dealing 6 damage and costing 7 stamina.

Stormwatcher was rudely awoken form his nap by yelling. His eye opened halfway very annoyed at whoever was doing that.
"shut up" he muttered still too sleepy to understand what all was happening.
As yowls and the scent of fox hit him like a ton of bricks he bolted up right realizing it was his older sister Wolf calling for battle.
(Wolf is not actually his older sister but he views her as that but would never say that)
With an annoyed hiss that this seemed to be bad luck unending for them he charged out . He saw foxes everywhere but he saw Stoneheart fighting against one and he focused on that
Running over the big tom smacked as hard as he could at the already stunned fox. He wanted to put this thing out of it before it could hurt Stoneheart.

Creamsky didn't have as great as a reaction time as Lightningbreeze - trailing a bit behind his friend as he stumbled from the warrior's den and into the chaos that had gripped the camp. He came to a halt, tail puffed as his eyes scanned over the sea of pelts, trying to figure out how many foxes there were before he shook his head. No, it wasn't time to fret over numbers like that - instead his eyes focused on locating Lightningbreeze. It didn't take long to find her facing off against a fox who had been making its way towards' the leaders den and he quickly rushed after his friend. There was no words as he darted forward, ducking his head as he sank his teeth into the fox's foreleg with a hiss.

Littleflower was in the medicine den getting her burn check up when she heard yowls and the scent of foxed covering the clan. She quickly, well as fast as her disabled legs could carry her, ran out to see the whole clan in chaos fighting the foxes. The closest one to her was beechfang and it looked like the fox she was fighting was headed towards her way. Littleflower quickly went into action and pounced, using her sharp teeth to snap into the fox's flank.
