When Hunting is Interrupted... [OPEN]

Aurelia leaped for the squirrel, only to be met with a loud growl and the scent of raccoon flooding her nose. With a growl of her own in retaliation, the spotted tabby turned, finding the gray and black creature ambling towards her through the undergrowth. It seemed as if her hunting had disturbed it... More like it had disturbed her own hunting. Rude of it, and now that it had chosen to engage, Aurelia was not inclined to let it be. She darted forwards, sliding beneath the raccoon with unsheathed claws. This patrol had been for hunting... But an opportunity to sharpen her claws wasn't a terrible thing, she decided.

Only, her claws missed. What an embarrassment, the golden-spotted cat thought, grimacing as one of the raccoon's paws caught her side. Barely a blow that would do damage, but it was certainly annoying... Hopefully the Thunderclanners that were on the patrol with her had not seen the wildcat's error.
