Skunkpaw was very excited because today tawnyshadow was going to take him out hunting. He could prove the the warrior that he wasnt useless! Skunkpaw was so excited he was waiting at the camp entrance, a little, okay a lot too early. The sun couldnt even be seen yet and they would meet at the entrance when the first rays of light could be seen.

Tawnyshadow nodded at the apprentice in greeting as she padded up towards the camp entrance. A simple check-in, something she had done quite a few times for many apprentices. Now it was Skunkpaw's turn. Never before had she had to try so hard to get a kit eager to try out a few battle moves. "Let's get going. Today, you'll be hunting while I watch over you," She instructed, then waited for the tom to begin.

Skunkpaw padded into the territory looking for something to hunt when he came across the scent of a lizard. Just a few tail lengths away, one was chilling on a rock. Skunkpaw instantly got into a stalking crouch and slowely padded up to the lizard. When he was the perfect distance away, the white tome touched, claws unsheathed.
Skunkpaw landed perfectly on the lizard and before it could fight back, he quickly killed it. The tom grabbed the lizard and started to make a hole to put it in.
Skunkpaw is trying to hunt a lizard, Littlekitten rolled a 3, he has caught the lizard

Tawnyshadow watched, impressed, as Skunkpaw successfully caught the lizard. Yes, it was just a lizard, but she had been expecting much worse from the apprentice. "You may bury the catch and move on," She instructed, gesturing towards a patch of brambles to indicate where he should bury the lizard.

Skunkpaw did as followed wondering if tawnyshadow approved of his hunting. Before he could even ask a short breeze blew by with the rare scent of rabbit on it. Maybe if he caught that rabbit she would be impressed. Skunkpaw quickly turnd around and followed the scent to a small area surrounded by bushes. A rabbit could be seen munching on the bushes. Skunkpaw quickly got quiet and crouched low. Few seconds passed before he decided it was time. He pounced with no sound.
Just then the rabbit heard a noise and while skunpaw was mid jump, it ran off. Skunkpaw landed with a sigh, padding back to tawnyshadow.
Skunkpaw is trying to catch a rabbit [1-3], Littlekitten has rolled a 9, he missed!

Skunkpaw's stalking on the rabbit was next to perfect, but unfortunately he still missed it. "Rabbits are tricky to catch. Try to keep your pounce short and sweet next time," Tawnyshadow mewed, then gestured for him to try again.

Skunkpaw did was she had said and went on the hunt for more prey. He stubled across the scent of a frog and so went after that.
Skunkpaw pounced, skewering it with one of his claws. He wondered how much he would be hunting as he buried the frog he caught.
Skunkpaw went after a frog [1-7], littlekitten rolled a 2, he caught it!

Tawnyshadow opened her mouth to compliment the tom on his catch when the stench of danger made her freeze in place. The stench was unmistakable: a Skunk was close by. The warrior's eyes darted to the apprentice, but it seemed that he had yet to realize the impending danger. Should she leave this to him? She was right here-- she could always step in if needed. It would be a good chance for the apprentice to learn how to handle such situations, as well as a lesson for him to always be aware of his surroundings. And so, the tortoiseshell remained in her place, watching calmly as Skunkpaw burried his catch.

↞ Skunk↠ It was a nice day for the black and white creature but soon that all came to an end when it noticed cats near its home. Previously it has kept quiet and didnt dare do anything but it was fed up with the scent of cat always ruining its den. The skunk watched the two carefully and noticed the older cat sensed it. The skunk quickly went into action, attacking the smaller, weaker cat. It's claws scratched at the cat's eyes, doing some damage and maybe even blinding it. Skunk has used Quick swipe dealing 8 Damage and 10 StaminaSkunk20 HP 110 SP (- 10) Skunkpaw12 (-8) 60 SP Never mess with the stink

Skunkpaw didnt realize the unknown scent until it was too late and a skunk was already clawing him. He couldnt see anything as the skunk clawed his eyes, blood flowing down into his white fur. Skunkpaw quickly went into action even though he couldnt see, he knew where the skunk was, Snapping at the creature with his teeth, hoping to get at least some damage to it, since he knew he was weak and now unable to see.
Skunkpaw used Snap dealing 6 damage and using 7 stamina
