Numb (open)

Lighttail woke up with a ringing in her ears and a strange numb tingly feeling all over her body. Opening her eyes, she saw a blurry figure before her. “Ma?” she rasped.
“I’m here, baby,” Snowfoot purred. Lighttail blinked as the image of her mother came into focus.
“Mama, I’m thirsty,” she whispered. Snowfoot nodded and pushed something towards her.
“Here’s some wet moss,” she mewed. Lighttail licked at the moss gratefully.
“How do you feel?” Snowfoot asked. “Do you remember what happened?”
“I remember being at Fourtrees… Nightpaw attacks Shrikestar… nothing after that. Was I out long?” Snowfoot breathed a sigh of relief. Good, Lighttail’s memory was intact.
“For a few days,” she replied. “You were struck by the lightning StarClan sent to punish the leaders.”
“Is that why my whole body feels like a paw that fell asleep?”
Snowfoot didn’t answer. She wasn’t sure how.
