Old Bones [Open]

OOC: after one or two others post, I will have a predator appear and you'll have to protect Flickerfoot

The weather was perfect: not too hot, but warm with a pleasant breeze that swirled through Riverclan's territory. Flickerfoot had enlisted a cat or two to accompany him on a walk outside of camp, since nobody seemed comfortable with letting the elders wander about on their own. It felt good to get his old bones moving again.

Flickerfoot glared ahead, his one good eye focusing on the cat in front of him. "Slow down, would ya? We're in Riverclan, not Windclan! This is a walk, not a run." The other cat surely was not running, but the old tom had a habit of exaggerating. Flickerfoot didn't move like he used to, and had fallen behind. But, he didn't want to admit that. It was much easier to accuse others of going too fast than admit to not being able to keep up.

Sprucebark was happy to go with the elder out for a walk. He enjoyed such things. Sprucebark was a very orderly and organized fellow and stuck to a close routine. He was glad though that he made time for this in his day.

"Oh, of course" he meowed with a nod and slowed his pace to walk along side the elder

"Is everything going okay in the elder den Flickerfoot?" he asked with a smile as polite as he could be. Respecting the elders was a key part of the code and Sprucebark followed the code very closely.
