Ease the Mind [Open Hunting]

It sucked. No matter what the warrior did nothing seemed to ease his worries for the incoming trouble. He knew Shadowclan would make a move but he didn't know what, and it ate at him. He doesn't know how many of his waking moments were spent with that in the back of his mind as he prepared for the worst. There was only so much sparring he could do. Now here was, with a hunting patrol, hoping to get his mind off of it but he doubted he would.

The striped warrior broke off from the group, going on his own to find prey. Shortly he came across a rabbit, and attempted to catch it.

It was shortly after Tigerdance broke off from the patrol that Jayfrost had done so himself, following a faint scent that crossed him moment earlier. It was a rabbit that he was tracking, although he didn't really know it's location until he passed over a ridge and saw it in a small hollow below, poking around a few bushes that sheltered a rabbit burrow. He'd need to be quick and precise, he realized.

Stalking through the grass, he grew closer to the rabbit, thankfulk that the roaring of the wind was there to drown out any mistakes he made when placing his steps. When the rabbit was within leaping distance, he lunged, stretching his unsheathed paws out for the rabbit. They landed, in within a heartbeat Jayfrost had his jaws around it's throat.

Suddenly, a shriek broke the air, grabbing his attention, although it wasn't of a cat. It was one that he'd heard before; an eagle, for sure. Quickly walking back the way he'd come, he saw the hawk before he saw who was fighting it. After rounding a corner, he saw Fennelbreeze. The scent of the hawk itself along with that of blood hit his nose, although it was too late to be a warning. It was lucky that he'd heard the eagle, because Fennelbreeze obviously didn't know how to call for help when it was needed. He tucked away the rabbit that he'd caught while the eagle was still in the sky.

Taking a chance when the eagle was diving for Fennelbreeze, Jayfrost ripped it from the sky and pulled it to the ground, keeping his weight on it's back and wings as it scrabbled at the dirt underpaw, it's talons making long scratches in the ground. "Tigerdance! Eagle!" He called for help because Fennelbreeze failed to.

Tigerdance perked up from where he was hiding his freshly caught prey at the sound of the predator and the call of his name. The striped tom was quick to jump into action following to attack the bird shortly after Jayfrost did. Claws lashed out rather fast. Repeated strikes hit the birds side and wing that were openly exposed to the warrior.

Tigerdance used Front Paw Strike and Swift Strike dealing 15 damage, -17 SP.
