into the new world [o]

For a kit, the world seemed a lot larger than it actually was. All Bubblekit had seen during her few moons of being alive was the inside of the nursery and the rest of RiverClan's camp. That was her entire world, so of course it seemed massive. She believed that she was a little know-it-all. Ignorance was bliss, right? She had no idea that the outside world even existed, so she considered to be an expert in all matters of the RiverClan camp. She was familiar with only three types of weather: sunshine, rain, and wind, and she wasn't particularly sure if she liked wind at all. She preferred the sunshine and the rain because the sun rays made her pelt look shiny and raindrops made for a fun game even if her mother advised her to stay within the nursery walls whenever it began to drizzle outside.

Today, Bubblekit wasn't sure what she should do. She was perfectly content with laying outside of the nursery and watching the older cats cross the camp floor to visit with each other and carry out their duties. There wasn't a single worry in her mind. It was just her and the world before her, and who could possibly be upset about that?

Dawnkit, after a long morning of tossing around a mossball and collecting shiny pebbles from the river inlet by the camp entrance, trotted back toward the nursery with her collection wrapped in a leaf and an eager smile.  She couldn't wait to show Duskkit; he probably wouldn't care that much, but eh.  Not her problem.  However, the sight of a different face made her purr, and the golden tabby she-kit picked up her pace to greet her denmate.  "Hey Bubblekit!  Whatcha doing?"  Her words were slightly muffled by the leaf bundle in her mouth, but after she placed in on the ground and allowed the pebbles to spill out she was more understandable.  "I found these pretty rocks down by the water, aren't they cool?  I'm going to use them to decorate mine and Duskkit's nest."

Bubblekit's little ears perked up at the sound of Dawnkit's voice. She greeted her denmate with a happy purr and a smile. She enjoyed talking to the other kits in the nursery. She considered them to all be in the same situation as her: on top of the world and free to explore as they pleased. Perhaps ignorance truly was bliss.

"Hi, Dawnkit." She said cheerfully as she glanced down at the pebbles that had spilled onto the ground in curiosity.
Suddenly, any interest that she had in watching the warriors and apprentices roam around camp had been abandoned. She rose to her paws and gingerly poked one of the pebbles with her nose.
"They're so pretty! I've never seen stones like that before! You and Duskkit are going to have the prettiest nests ever. I hope your brother likes them."
