Lighttail anxiously surveyed the camp. Sentries posted, good… no emergencies at the moment… I guess now is as good a time as any. Stepping out of the nursery, she motioned with a flick of her tail for her kits to follow.
“Now, before you go running off, there are a few rules. Stay where I can see you, don’t put anything in your mouth without asking me first, and most importantly, have fun!”
Mistykit nodded at each rule, only half listening. Something something… blah blah blah… fun! Okay! Feathery tail held high, she scampered off a few steps on her short legs before turning around and looking at her siblings. “Come on! Let’s explore!” she chirped.
It was good to see the clan growing. Wolfstar was stretched out across a low-hanging tree branch when Lighttail had coaxed her kits out of the nursery. The queen was speaking to them, likely warning them about not getting into trouble, a standard line from many of the queens. Wolfstar included, when her own kits had been that young.
With a purr, the leader dropped down to the grassy clearing and made her way toward Lighttail and the kits. "Hi Lighttail, how are you?" She asked, glancing toward the kits, "Enjoying being out of the nursery finally?"

Asterkit _
Asterkit's green eyes were locked in on a target, a swishing tail ripe for the taking. Readying his hindlegs for the pounce, steady.... steady... NOW!, the kit leaped forward, tumbling through empty air into one of his siblings. Lighttail's tail whisked away, moving towards the light. "Aww.. mossballs.." he sulked, stalking after his mother.
The frown on his face quickly disappeared, leaving no trace when Lighttail led the kits out the nursery. Already, a steady pounding in his chest was building. So many new things to try and do! Asterkit wished he could be everywhere at once, climb on top of a den, race through camp as fast as his legs would go, climb the ginormous tree he'd once heard someone call Tallbranch, agh so many opportunities! His sister, Mistykit, seemed to have the right idea, racing ahead of the others.
"Hey wait up! Miiistyyy!" he roared, longer legs allowing him to catch up to the black she-cat. Standing next to her, the two looked extremely alike, except for their eyes. The tom's eyes were a vibrant green, perceiving and cunning, while the she-kit's eyes were a stark yellow. "Last one up the tree is a loser!" he jeered, sharp kit claws latching onto the bark.

Snowykit was eager to finally be getting out of the nursery, he was begging to run out there, but ran right into Asterkit's ‘hunt’. However, his brother didn’t even apologize, or even look at him. He was definitely going to get revenge for this. He wouldn’t have to wait long however, as Aster had challenged Misty to a race up the tree, the last one up was going to be called a loser? This was his chance. He headbutted Asterkit off the tree, gently of course, he was still his brother after all. “Misty, go go go! Make Aster a loser!” This was his full-proof revenge plan, that he made in less than 2 seconds, and there was no way that Aster would win now. He then cast a smirk at Aster thinking his plan was about to succeed.
