A warm breeze carried the medicine cats of each clan along on their journey to Highstones, seeming to urge then to their meeting place with not only each other, but the stars as well. The sky was clear, stars and half-moon bright, lighting their way through the final steps of their long journey. What news would await them this warm Newleaf night?

This would be the first (and hopefully last) time Harriertalon would attend the medicine cat gathering on her own. With the recent... event that happened during the last full moon, it was understandable that Burdockroot wanted to cool off before having to face Batsong again. "Hello, everyone."

Echopaw was slow to join his mentor this moon, his paws felt like they were weighed down by a ton of rocks - or moving through the swampy mud of Shadowclan. Along with his paws, his heart was also heavy. Heavy with the pain of losing a clanmate at his own paws. Sunfire was gone, and it was all his fault. He couldn't do anything to save the tom.
He knew rationally that he shouldn't blame himself, but when his entire job - his purpose was to save people and he couldn't even do that? He felt lost. His brow furrowed as they reached the rest of the medicine cats.
Let this be over with soon, yes.
The fluffy tom sharply nodded in greeting to Harriertalon but didn't say much following it. It didn't take more than a moment for his gaze to drift off into the distance, it would take someone jostling him to signal when it was time to enter Mothermouth.

Fawnshine had heavily debated with herself whether or not to go as the night finally came upon them, the starlit sky gleaming above the vast woodlands. Yet despite all the glory they bore, the stars offered little help to comfort her discouragement other than simply being aesthetically pleasing; something she didn't have much time to pay attention to. She could tell that Echopaw was feeling the same, and she couldn't do much but hope to provide him with what little reassurance possible along the way. Neither wished for more conflict than what had already arisen, she could tell that much.
The sight of Harriertalon without the presence of Burdockroot did not surprise her, knowing just how upset Shadowclan's medicine cat would be. In all truthfulness, she had been extremely reluctant to go, but her duty had no time for that. May this meeting be done as soon as possible.
The diluted she-cat did the same as her apprentice did, offering a curt nod in reply to Harriertalon before turning away, her tail gently wrapping around the side of Echopaw in a comforting gesture. Heterochromia eyes were sharp on guard in the watch for Batsong's approaching figure—that is if she dared to show her face again after what had gone on during the previous Gathering. Her fur bristled at the simple thought of her perhaps still having the guts to attend a medicine cat meeting, tail giving a sharp flick in the growing vexation. If she did come, however, she wouldn't be surprised if tension were to surge high again.

It seemed that everyone was hesitent to go this time and Batsong wondered if it was even worth getting a prophecy from the stars given what had happened.
She did go however just because. Maybe she had made a mistake doing what she did, but following it up with another mistake of skipping meetings was not going to solve anything either.
She sat with the fellow med cats awaiting riverclan to show up. She didnt start any conversation. They probably wanted nothing to do with her after all that. Which she understood, with enough time things would probably calm down but for right now she just wanted to get this dream over with. Perhaps the stars would be kind this time and reveal nothing

The small molly entered with no company this time. Firstly, dipping her head to each cat present. She wasn’t quivering anymore. Her eyes no longer jumped around with paranoia. Instead, the sandy tabby was actually quite slow. Not rigid and rabbit-like, but dull and spacey. Her ears, which once swiveled around like they were loose, now stayed fixed, only to move when focusing on a new voice. The Riverclan medicine cat mewed hello to each colleague. Hesitantly towards Batsong, whom her gaze intentionally avoided, but she gave her a greeting nonetheless.
Sandyshell acted perfectly calm. Friendly even. Her soft smile held with no aching or strain, though perhaps a bit... empty. It opened and mumbled sweetly, “Let’s start, shall we?” before leading into the darkness. Her mind passed over any question or odd look thrown her way. If someone voiced their concern, she would simply mutter something about herbs. Politely.

Echopaw's distant gaze did not escape Harriertalon; along with Fawnshine's curt nod before turning to her apprentice to comfort him. She wouldn't ask, but she could only guess those blue eyes were filled with loss. Something she had come to know more intimately as well. Silently, she gave condolences to the ThunderClan medicine cat apprentice, before ignoring Batsong completely and turning to enter Mothermouth. Tonight would not be a night for chatter. Let this night be done.
A respectable dostance behind Sandyshell, the ShadowClan she-cats large form squeezed through the dark tunnels and into the cave with that obnoxiously beautiful stone. Tucking all four paws beneath her, she touched her black nose to the cold, unforgiving stone and closed her eyes.

Sandyshell's abnormal formality left her puzzled, though with everything that had happened—she couldn't blame the she-cat for the sudden distance of mannerisms. Even she did not feel inclined to act as formally or sociable as she naturally would intend to be. It was best not to bring it up so soon, knowing each of them faced different struggles. Doing the same as Harriertalon did, she barely glanced at Windclan's medicine cat, promptly following the other felines inside the Mothermouth. Its beauty had no use to her in standing out tonight. Wanting less to be distracted and more focused on their intended duties, she followed shortly, pressing her nose to its crystalline surface.

Smokepetal was pleased to see several cats had preceded her, as she climbed the final steps to their meetingplace, dipping her head in a curt nod to the others in turn. The chilled mood around the others, especially when looking in Batsong's direction, was noticeable in the warm evening air. It made Smokepetal uncomfortable, but the almost defeated look in the dark medicine cat's eye made her heart heavy. She was surprised the WindClan she-cat had even shown up, truth be told.
As the group began moving down towards the stone, Smokepetal followed. As she passed Batsong, Smokpetal brushed her fluffy tail against the other cat's shoulder, glancing over with a sympathetic, kind expression. Then she moved on, down the tunnel until it widened again, and they each spread out to take their places...
The SkyClan molly took in a deep breath, and leaned in...
