Have you had enough? [Open Dusk/Night Hunting]

Falconmoon wasn't sure why his nights... or days rather... had become so restful. Maybe his mother had been right and the dreams only came during the night. He didn't love sleeping all day, as the sun often called his name and he relished the warmth it brought, but he couldn't complain about getting a full night's rest for several days in a row now. He managed to mostly shake off the meeting he had with his grandmother as freaky coincidence and maybe she had just been messing with him. Maybe he was just too sensitive. It didn't matter... if he just ignored it and went on about his duties eventually all of this was going to go away. A fat rat darted from a bush beside him and Falconmoon spun on it immediately. It was nearing night time, a time where a lot of the rats were going to become active.

He dispatched the little creature with a swift bite to the head. The rat let out a single eek! before it ceased all movement. This rat was particularly massive and Falconmoon had to waddle side to side to avoid stepping on the rest of it's body or tripping up on its tail. One down... stars knew how many more to go.

Graypaw trailed after her brother quietly, golden eyes searching the surroundings for prey. She had been assigned a new mentor, Thornstalker, and she hoped that her training would go somewhere now, but it still felt strange to know that Falconmoon was already a warrior and that they no longer shared a den. He seemed... Better almost, less tired than he usually did. Maybe becoming a warrior had been what Falconmoon needed, or maybe it was sleeping through the day in a mostly empty den. Graypaw didn't know, and admittedly, her own sleep was better without being woken up. Not by much, but it helped. Not that it was Falconmoon's fault. Now she was mostly kept awake by wondering how her training would progress, worrying that she wasn't good enough.

A bird fluttered overhead and Graypaw glanced up, then made her way into the trees. Maybe if she caught something, the nagging doubt might cease for a little bit. The bird seemed unaware as the silver tabby carefully made her way toward it, leaping from one branch to the next. Unsheathed claws snagged dark feathers, fangs closing around her prey's neck. Graypaw dropped back to the forest floor, noting that Falconmoon had caught what seemed to be a giant rat. She offered her brother a small smile before burying her own catching.

Thornstalker followed behind the new warrior and her new apprentice. She didn't quite get why Falconmoon did stuff at odd times but it didn't really matter. As long as he got the job done that was all she cared about, and seeing how quick he was to hunt she knew it was fine. It was a nice change of pace for her and hew new apprentice who seemed keen on getting started as well. She wasn't going to be the one to hold them back, that was for certain.

She offered a quick nod to the other two cats, as a quick congratulations for their catch before splitting off on her own to find something, anything. Soon she found a squirrel picking at the ground, maybe looking for one last snack before curling up in it's nest for the night. How unfortunate. Oh well. They needed the food.
