The Second Nest Escape [Wave 2 Escape]

Sunpaw silently stalked the Twoleg nest by night, a pawful of collars in various stages of destruction clamped securely in his mouth. The weird old Twoleg had quite nearly discovered his stash, and he needed to find a safe place to hide them. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks as the most wonderful smells overtook him. Wild air, prey, the crisp, clean smells of the forest. Moonlight glittered on his pelt, and for a moment it was as if he was home. Wait a minute, the smells had to be coming from somewhere. Looking up, Sunpaw’s heart soared as he saw the window. It was open! Hardly pausing a moment to think, the young tom latched into the curtain and frantically began an attempt to climb. Paw over paw, claws digging into fabric, collars in his mouth. It felt like an eternity, but Sunpaw found himself standing on the window ledge. He crouched low, not sure what to do now. Should he just go? Yowl to alert the others? But what if he woke up their captor? For now he lay in wait, hoping for another cat to come along.

Trufflesnap wanted to leave. Instantly. Now. When buzz of an open window started spreading through the group, she was one of the first there. Her only thoughts were on her own survival and getting out of here. At this point, she wasn't even sure if she would go back to SkyClan.All she did know, is she would need to leave now. Shoving her way past other cats and using her large body to do so, she made it to the front of the line. For a SkyClan cat, it was an easy jump. Using her back leg strength, she easily made it to the window ledge. Her front paws grasped the ledge on the other side as she heaved her way through the small crack. The wind of the outside finally hit her face and she took a deep breath in, followed my a small cough. As soon as the fit receded, Trufflesnap began to trudge forward and then stopped in her tracks. Crookedpaw. He was only an apprentice, and as much as she hated to admit it, adorable. With a sigh she sat down and waited for the tom to come through. Should she have waited for him at the window? Probably. But there was no way she would be going back inside, so she would wait here. A good cat would risk their own tail to go back in after him, but the thing is, she wasn't a good cat.
