Finally Settling in as MC [open herb hunt]

Batsong was finally feeling like she was settling in her new job as the clan medicine cat.  She was getting the herbs down, memorized alot of them by heart... had healed an injured Brackenwing from their head injuries and had managed to keep her clanmates all safe so far.  She felt like for the first time that she could really actually do this for sure.

She had to keep sharp however, the clans safety depended on it.  So, when she noticed the herbs running low in the med den she took action and gathered up a herb hunting patrol to go and find what she could.


Standing before her clanmates in the clearing she called out to them

"Im g-going to collect herbs if anyone want t-to join they can"

With that she gave a breif nod and headed out of camp to search around.  She was always a shy cat so if no one wanted to join that was fine by her as well.  Although any help was appreciated as well.

As she walked along she sniffed around hoping to find something....

finding some goldenrod she gathers it up purring happily at the nice rare find of the helpful herb

The sound of Batsong's shaky voice caught Smallbean's attention as he laid at the edge of camp, absent-mindedly flicking his tail in the scarce shade. At first, the idea of lying in camp was more appealing than going out on the territory, but he'd been sitting there for a while and knew he should take care of duties. It was between going on this herb hunt or going out to patrol the borders, and he enjoyed Batsong's company. Besides, he already knew the herbs, it would be a help to Batsong.

"Wait up!" Getting up and running from his spot in camp, he chased after Batsong, catching up to her with ease despite his short legs. "I figured I'd help you out a little bit." He gave her a friendly nudge, breaking off from the group only once she had done the same.

Greenleaf would be the perfect time for herb hunting if it wasn't for how scarce rainfall was sometimes. His well-trained eyes scanned the moors in front of him, searching for something he recognized; something that stood out. A tall plant with yellow flowers pulled his attention. Goldenrod. He grabbed the plant between his jaws and delicately pulled it from the ground.
