Silence.. Dovefrost wasn't used to it.. His days in this camp were filled with his kits wanting attention in some manner, and hearing his mate's comments whether they be complaints about something or just general comments about their kits. Now?
Now it was silent. His kits had grown up. They weren't the loud curious little kittens anymore, most were warriors attending to patrols just as he did. They didn't exactly need him too much anymore did they?
And Beechfang... His poor mate. While he didn't agree with what she had done.. stars even angry by her actions against Clover, but he didn't think she deserved this.. Didn't deserve to be chased away from her clan.. her family.. Stars did he miss her..
The large white tom slumped to the ground.. limbs tucked loosely under him, not even bothering trying to get comfy. He didn't really feel like it. After everything.. he had been useless when everything between Skyclan and Riverclan had unfolded.. Useless in defending his mate.. Useless in helping is new leader.. Did he even belong here anymore? Honestly as the days went on he felt like Bloodstrike letting him in was just a fluke.. It was clear from his actions the other day he wasn't in his right mind, so was he actually meant to be here?

Wolfblossom entered the camp with her patrol, glad to split from them and head off toward the shaded edges of camp. A quick glance and it was impossible to miss her father's pale pelt. Wolfblossom was fully grown now, but she still liked spending time around her family, and Dovefrost looked... Not great. Wolfblossom thought she could guess where his thoughts were with the recent situation, and her ears flattened momentarily in frustration at the entire thing.
Giving her head a shake, the pale gray and white she-cat padded towards her father, "Hey, dad," She tried to keep her tone upbeat, but doing so was difficult when it felt like her family was falling apart around her. Beechfang's absence had left a hole in the clan, and it made Wolfblossom want to scream at the Riverclanners that had forced the issue. "Are you okay?" It was probably a dumb question, she thought as she dropped to the ground beside her father, but Wolfblossom wouldn't give up on her family.

Birdchaser returned to camp quickly on Wolfblossom's heels, a songbird swaying between her teeth. Even if it was simple and routine, being able to catch something had brightened her mood considerably- for the moment, at least. For the first time since Beechfang and Bloodstrike's exile, there was a bounce to the large warrior's step. She couldn't rip RiverClan in half if there was hunting to do, and she was glad she could provide for her Clan in any manner. But as the separate patrols returned to camp, Birdchaser watched as her sister wandered across camp- towards Dovefrost, laying slumped in the earth. Her ears lowered, and the pale she-cat sighed around her catch. They would be feeling the effects of this for a long, long time.
After dropping the songbird off with the rest of the fresh-kill, Birdchaser made her way over to the pair, sitting down little more than a tail-length away. "Hi," she mewed softly, an unexpected rasp in her voice. "I hope you're alright, dad." None of them were, and she knew that. She could still hope. Eyes sliding towards her sister, she added, "I hope both of you are."

Dull green eyes looked up at two of his kits when they had approached him from their returning patrol. He was in bad shape and he knew it, there wasn't much to be done about it considering how much his life had changed in a short amount of time. How much more were things going to change? He certainly preferred when things were a constant because at least then they weren't changing for the worst.
He shook his head at his daughter's questions. "I'm not alright.. but I will be. Just need time I suppose." He told the two, not really knowing what else to say at the moment. He couldn't make himself feel better, so he didn't know how he was going to make them feel better.

"Hey, sis," Wolfblossom offered her sister a smile as she joined them, though it didn't quite manage to reach her eyes. She worried about Birdchaser too - about all of them, really. The reveal of her mother's actions had hurt. Losing her hurt. And Wolfblossom... Didn't know how to handle that, let alone how to help her family deal with everything. She didn't know how this was supposed to get any easier. Maybe it wouldn't. Dovefrost's words only made her more sad. He didn't deserve this either, but maybe there was something to needing time. "I'll be- I don't know know. I hope you're right." She mewed quietly, "She's alive, and we have each other still." She added, a vain attempt to look on the bright side of things.
