"I'm- sorry, for the intrusion. I didn't notice you there."
Hawkpaw spun aside, feeling a cat — probably an apprentice — bump his shoulder. 'Accidentally'. His eyes narrowed. Their scent... The other tom must've been from WindClan. "Yeah, well, just be careful next time," He mewed with a slight grudge to his tone, tail flicking stiffly. He was never one to hide his annoyance. But since this was a Gathering, anyway, he decided to be nice. Or, well, nicer than how he'd normally react. All these formalities and all... He couldn't be exposed!
"Were ya looking for someone? You look like you're in a hurry."
Swiftheart walked by the twoleg place the night of the gathering early on. She wanted to see if that curious kittypet was still around and if they might want to join them. She waited near their fence to see if this was something they still wanted to see and would show them the way to it if wanted
Swiftheart is waiting for cheddar and will go to the gathering (maybe) with them
Batsong entered with her clan staying near the outskirts of the large gathering. She was shy and didnt particularly enjoy gatherings at all. She did keep an eye out for other med cats that maybe she could talk to but beyond that was content just chilling with her clan
Batsong is open to talk but is shy for new people
Daisypaw entered excited to see her surroundings and all the cats here. She activly looked for apprentices from other clans to talk with
Daisypaw is looking for other apprentices to talk with activly
Shadepaw at this time is home sick and his sickness is worsening so he will not be attending this
(OOC: Rushed post sorry XD)

The way she felt internally was not hard to observe externally; her movements both stiff and frantic, eyes a little too wide, her fur ever so slightly on end. The events of the attack played on repeat in her mind, green eyes peering at the tom and far beyond. But as if the stars above took pity on the molly, Thistlemask was greeted with friendliness she felt she was far from deserving, and was aware of two possibilities stretching out before her. Either he knew of what she partook in against his clan, was planning how he would best tear her throat out but was playing nice, or... Maybe he doesn't recognise you. The thought circled her mind like a buzzard above a kit, and she hesitantly decided to roll with it, figuring that if he was planning the former, playing nice back couldn't do any extra damage.
Thistlemask shook out her fur like she had been for a dip in RiverClan's streams, before settling down and smiling a little . "Sorry- I've um, never really spoken to anyone outside of ThunderClan. I also haven't been to a gathering in moons, so it's definitely a bit... odd. Especially after hearing about last month's gathering." Once the molly got going, she settled into the half-truths she fed the tom, visibly relaxing and accepting that if he did know, there wasn't much that could be done now.
"My name's Thistlemask. It's nice to meet you, Duskflight." Oddly enough, despite the lingering tensions in her chest, she did mean it-- after all, partaking in gathering customs fit in perfectly with what she envisioned true clan cats did.
Whereas last Gathering it was Briarthorn whose belly was swollen and movements lumbering, it was now Poppyshine’s turn to have a full belly. She wasn’t quite as far along as Briarthorn had been, and she’d gotten assurances from other experienced queens that it was unlikely she’d make a similar display as Briarthorn had, and so Poppyshine had opted not to skip this Gathering. It was important for a deputy to be present, and she wasn’t incapacitated yet.
She gave Perchstar a last glance and then told Sootpaw and Rainpaw to behave themselves, as well as avoid SkyClanners for this Gathering. Things will be cleared up with announcements today, she was sure—especially upon seeing Briarthorn with the other leaders instead of Bloodstar—but she had no doubt that SkyClanners held a similar disdain for RiverClan after all the effort they went through. Sootpaw and Rainpaw had been born after that mess of a Gathering, so they wouldn’t know just how high tensions were. Poppyshine wanted to avoid another big fight breaking out.
Finally, she sent her apprentices off and took her place with the other deputies. Her expression brightened at seeing Smallbean, who was the only deputy that she’d gotten the chance to be acquainted with last Gathering. “Hello Smallbean,” she mewed cheerfully as she approached and took a seat with the others. She looked at the other two deputies gathered and offered them both a bright smile. “We can get properly acquainted this time around! I’m Poppyshine. It’s great to meet the rest of you.” She offered a respectful bow of her head to Mottlerose and Nightstalker.
Poppyshine is speaking with the deputies.
Iceheart
Iceheart felt very alone this Gathering. Even after trying to convince him, Honeypaw had insisted that he wouldn’t come to this Gathering. She couldn’t really blame him. The last Gathering had been an utter disaster and the one before that, the one only for ShadowClan, had not been the best either. Honeypaw had not lived for long, and already he’d experienced two unappealing Gatherings. For StarClan’s sake, Icehearthad experienced even more bad Gatherings than him. She’d been promised by her former mentor that Gatherings weren’t quite as bad once the Dark Forest left, but that had yet to be proven. She still tried to hold her hope, but that was getting more and more hard to believe.
So, there she sat at the Gathering, sulking to herself. Her drive when she was an apprentice, to meet cats from all the other clans, had died out. She didn’t even have much desire to speak with her own clan right now. Iceheart only stared at the leaders discussing their own matters, and then glanced towards Nightstalker with the deputies. This was simply not going to go well. Something was going to go wrong at this Gathering. It was simply a curse.
Iceheart is sulking alone, but anyone can speak with her!
Whisperear
It was Whisperear’s first Gathering where they were a warrior. It still felt like a dream, and they weren’t sure if they should act differently now that they were one. After so, so long as an apprentice, it felt like there should be something new and changed about how they felt, but they felt just as they always had. They took careful steps as they arrived at Fourtrees with their clan and looked around a tad nervously, uncertain where they should go. They always stuck with their mentor or Batsong in the past, but Batsong was a medicine cat now and Coyotegrin was no longer really their mentor. They had their own two paws to stand up on.
Their gaze ultimately landed on Brackenwing, and they hurried to her side. “Brackenwing,” they mewed with a smile as they slowed and took a seat beside her. “Do you mind if I join you?”

The only thing fishy about her was her scent. Though, in her opinion, it didn't smell bad. The apprentice shook her head, an amused smile curling at the side of her lips. "I wish it worked like that!" Sleepypaw exclaimed with a purr of amusement. Seeing his quizzical look as he tried to observe her for fins and gills, she turned her head to let him get a better look. Then, she shot him a smug grin. "And you actually believe that?" Sleepypaw paused, and the grin grew larger. "...Interesting, ThunderClan cats really are just as mouse brained as all the mice they eat!" Of course, she knew he didn't actually. But it was fun to banter.
Tossing her head back, the sleepy apprentice settled back and let the smug smile drop to a pleasant one. "You aren't so bad. What is ThunderClan like? Lots of trees? Can you climb them?" Sleepypaw hadn't ever climbed a tree before. Their territory didn't have many, and any time she was out, it had been for other things. The thought intrigued her.
If a cat was going to approach, Brackenwing was glad that it was one of her clanmates. She returned Whisperear's smile easily, "Hey," She greeted, "Of course not." Whisperear had always been a quiet sort, and Brackenwing didn't mind that in the slightest. She did mind that it was the full moon, and that fourtrees was growing more crowded by the minute, but hopefully the gathering would end without drama tonight.
Brackenwing is talking to Whisperpaw. Wolfblossom is open to talk but won't be happy about Riverclanners. Harechaser is open to talk. Mistyfalcon is not attending. Beechfang is exiled.
Having met up with Swiftheart at his people's home, Cheddar happily followed the she-cat to this gathering thing, his excitement growing more and more with every step.
Arriving at the place that Swiftheart had led him to, he couldn’t believe it… his first ever gathering! Trotting alongside Swiftheart with his head and tail held up happily, the well groomed, fluffy cross-eyed kittypet glanced around the area in awe, the little bell on his collar jingling with every motion. So this was why she’d called it Four Trees, what a spectacular place! Cats from what he assumed were different clans flooded into the clearing and he almost couldn’t wrap his head around the amount that was here. Where he’d come from there had been a large group of them that lived together on a regular basis before being taken away by humans to their forever homes, but it was never at such a multitude as this was. Glancing around, he also noticed how raggedy most of them looked. Scars lined their pelts, chunks of ears missing, tail fur all in a tangle… these wild cats must really have it rough out here, especially with no humans to help groom their pelts.
"I never knew so many cats could live in one place, this is amazing!" he mewed happily to Swiftheart. "So, where are all of the shadow cats? I want to meet them!" the fluffy tom exclaimed as he dug his blue, cap-covered claws into the soft ground in excitement.
"It is a lot to process but take your time, Dovesight. I'm sure you'll get used to it after some time." She offered another pleasing grin. Her hunch was correct. RiverClan truly had no preparations of what could've happened beforehand — their new 'medicine cat' was still so... clumsy. Cloverheart was either just so busy that she couldn't have time, or simply, was too unprepared. Maybe she had overestimated RiverClan too much.
As her eyes scanned through the rest of the others at the Gathering, they paused at the sight of a black-and-white she-cat. Marshmallow."Dovesight, it was a pleasure to talk to you, though I'm afraid I've got some business to attend to." She stood, politely nodding at her. "Eggpaw, I'll be back, alright? Try to see if you can get to know more about Dovesight. I trust you." She whispered to her apprentice, smiling. And with her excuses done, the medicine cat disappeared into the crowd with a flick of the tail.
"Marshmallow, it's truly been a while," Fawnshine greeted. "How have you been doing? I hope sleep isn't as much troubling as it was before," She smirked.
Fawnshine has left the meddies and is now talking to Marshmallow!
Duskflight
"Oh, yes. I understand why you're... on edge, now." He nodded, slowly. Truly, last Gathering's events were anything but pleasant. "But also, how come? Surely you mustn't have done something wrong?" He joked, tilting his head with a chuckle. "I'm just kidding. It's nice to meet you as well, Thistlemask."
"How is ThunderClan doing? I suppose it can wait for the announcements, but, oh well. A friendly question wouldn't hurt." Maybe.. Maybe not all has changed. Maybe inside, he still had that spirit of his as an apprentice. The young, social, and bright tom that he once was. Before any of this happened. Before he became so much more... quiet. But now, socializing didn't pose as much of a challenge as it was a time ago.
Maybe he still had his old self, somewhere, still lurking inside.
Where were his manners?? "O-Oh, yeah! I'm Smallbean.... sorry." Stars, and he thought he was getting better at conversation. It was almost like Nightstriker's gaze had grown even more intense, because now he felt even more uncomfortable. All he could do was squirm under his stare and worry about the period of awkwardness that would follow their interaction- at least on his end.
Thankfully, he was saved by the arrival of who he assumed to be Thunderclan's deputy, and after, Poppyshine. "Hi, Poppyshine! It's so good to see you!" He quickly returned her cheerful greeting, relieved that she had come to rescue him from his failure of an introduction to Nightstalker. He would try to move on from it as quickly as he could. "How have you been the last moon? I see you're expecting?" Smallbean observed her large belly- a noticeable change since the last gathering.
Opening his mouth, he turned to Mottlerose, but ended up resisting the urge to introduce himself in fear that it would end up like his introduction to Nightstalker. He figured he'd let her introduce herself first.

Fawnshine had left them, and Dovesight bid her farewell with a dip of her head. The molly seemed pleasant enough, and it was nice to have some encouragement from someone who had been in the role longer than her.
Eggpaw, however, seemed to have more faith in Dovesight than was deserved. She wanted to know about the birth? Dovesight had basically floundered about like a fish out of water! Far from being as impressive as Eggpaw seemed to believe. And she couldn't even say it went well, seeing as Maplespring still hadn't recovered. That was a worrisome thought.
"Um, I honestly didn't do much. Poppyshine, our deputy, apparently helped out with births a lot? So she did most of the work. Um, I did end up giving the queen a strengthening herb, though. The kind you have in your traveling bundles. Um, maybe you can actually help me? Because I don't think that worked. I am actually worried. She should have recovered by now. But she is still so exhausted. She named one of her own kits Sleepykit, for StarClan's sake! I don't know how to help her! She has no energy left, she hasn't since she has given birth! I don't even know what is wrong to be able to help her. I just know it is bad."
There was a bit of panic in Dovesight's voice, and she looked to her companion almost pleadingly. Eggpaw at least had some training. Maybe she could help Dovesight figure out what this was.
Maybe Maplespring could be saved.
Dovesight is speaking to Eggpaw, looking for help in caring for a Clanmate.
Fuzzybelly walked into the clearing, spotting two medicine cat apprentices by the base of the tree. He had met Eggpaw before, but was unaware of her friend that she was talking to.
“Hullo, he rumbled. “I’m Fuzzybelly, I’m the medicine cat of ShadowClan. Who’re you?”
Fuzzybelly introduced himself and is asking a question to Dovesight!
Rainpaw’s head spun with the cacophony of smells around him. What would happen? There were too many people here. His vision narrowed, feeling overwhelmed in the chaos. The silver tom felt like he stuck his whole head in the river. Woozy, off balance, muffled noises around him with no relent…
He spotted his brother Hawkpaw, and went to join him. “H-hey, can I stick by you?”
Rainpaw of RiverClan is with his brother and is open to talk to!
Frostpaw stretched her legs. This meeting would take all night, she was sure of it. So much had changed in SkyClan in such a short time. But what would Briarthorn tell the Clans?
She frowned, thinking of those in exile. Perhaps it was foolish of her to expect Crimsonflame back, and it was an even stupider idea to hope that Beechfang’s kits could still see her sometimes. She didn’t agree with Beechfang, and her father Bloodstar was several birds short of a fresh kill pile, but a small part of her hoped that the resolution could have been more peaceful than the leader banning their own grandson.
She looked up at the moon for answers.
Frostpaw of SkyClan is open to talk to!
Mintheart of WindClan is in the elder’s den!

And yet another voice had joined them. She recognized Fuzzybelly from the last gathering, being one of the cats to help that SkyClan queen, and it made sense that he was a medicine cat. Of ShadowClan, it seemed.
"Um, hi. I'm Dovesight, RiverClan's new medicine cat, er, sort of I guess. Um, in training. I'm the cat supposed to take Cloverheart's place, not sure if I can call myself a medicine cat. Ah, I am.....just going to stop talking now."
There was a silent plea as Dovesight turned towards where the leaders sat, begging for the gathering to start. The more she sat here, the more awkward it got. It was easier with her own Clan, they already knew everything, and she didn't have to explain how she was failing to them. But not only were these cats ones that knew just what they were doing in the job they held, but if Eggpaw was any indicator, they expected her to know what she was doing too. And she didn't. She was at a complete and utter loss.
She just wanted to go home, now.
Dovesight is talking to Eggpaw and Fuzzybelly, and silently begging for the gathering to start.
Strangely, she didn't mind coming to Fourtrees as she had before. It was still.. a bit, nerve-wracking, of course- the scents of the other Clans were as strong as ever. Though, this time, it seemed they almost.. melded, with ThunderClan's smell, rather than replace it. Eventually Foxpaw found herself split from the familiar pelts of ThunderClan cats. Her paws didn't spring into panic; in fact, it was almost as though she was simply padding through camp. Foxpaw couldn't help but give a small smile, remembering Mottlerose's encouragement from last moon's Gathering.. It would be fine.
After a few moments of aimless wandering through the clearing, she finally found a quiet spot- though a silver tabby was already there; oddly enough, staring at the moon. If she remembered the scent of the border correctly, then the other apprentice was from SkyClan. Foxpaw winced; it was hard not to remember what had happened at the Gathering with the tree-climber's clan.. Not to mention StarClan's response to the issue. She tried to shake off the thought, it wasn't the silver tabby's fault for what her clanmate had done. "Hello," she meowed, giving a small nod in greeting as she reached the other tabby. "Mind if I join you?"
Foxpaw is talking with Frostpaw.
Lichenpaw was nothing short of excited as he padded into Fourtrees; smiling as he noticed the smells of the other clans almost right away. Immediately he pulled ahead, searching the clearing for any cat to talk with. Most were already pre-occupied with their own conversations, or others more concentrated on being left alone. Eventually, though, he noticed another cat by themselves, seemingly not too busy with anything. "Hi, there!" Lichenpaw chirped, practically dashing to the black-and-white apprentice. "I'm Lichenpaw! Are you an apprentice too? Oh, you can probably tell, but I'm from SkyClan! Where're you from?" the fluffy-tom spilled out his questions, hardly able to stay in place as he talked. He had almost forgotten how cool it was, just getting to talk to cats outside his Clan!
Stormpaw relaxed when it seemed his presence was indeed welcome, and he returned Blazefang’s bright grin with a warm smile of his own. “Blazefang, huh? That’s a really cool name! Congratulations on becoming a warrior, I’m sure your clan is really lucky to have you.”
He pulled his tail over his own paws, settling into a more comfortable position and occasionally glancing at all the cats still gathering and chatting amongst themselves, his ears twitching at all the noise. “And I’m good. I think my own ceremony isn’t too far off.” He smiled. “Or at least, I hope not. And actually I was hoping to spot you for Maplespring, I figured you might want news of her.”
“She’s seems to be doing good too. Her kits have been born, they’re all really healthy and strong and show a lot of promise. Some are already here at this gathering actually!” He mewed. “They grew up really quick.”
Coyotegrin stuck close to Hawkheart's side. She too, was feeling uneasy with leaving the kits behind. She watched the Gathering with careful eyes, watching for any signs of trouble.
Frostednight sulked in the back of the crowd, her new name silent on her lips. Until she spotted Iceheart, also sulking. Heaving her large frame up, she lumbered over to Iceheart and sat next to her in silence. Not too close, but what Frostednight would consider a "friendship distance".
Frostednight is silently sitting next to Iceheart.
