Trufflekit's Apprentice Ceremony

The soft rain drops has just stopped falling.  Ashstorm loved the smell of the earth after freshly fallen rain.  It was a very nice day as well.  It was warm out and the nice breeze and rain helped to make it not too warm and not too cold.  Ashstorm climbed the Tallbranch and prepared to start the apprentice ceremony.

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather at Tallbranch for a clan meeting!" She called to the clan.

It had stopped raining, and Ashstorm had called the clan together for another ceremony. Knowing it was for her kit, Beechfang had smoothed down Trufflekit's fur, taking a position in the crowd to watch the ceremony. Another of her kits would become an apprentice leaving the nursery that much more empty, but she was glad that her kits were growing healthy and strong.

Trufflekit was only a day or so behind the rest of her siblings. Of course, you couldn't do too many ceremonies at once, or else it would get boring. Rubbing up against Beechfang before leaving the nursery, freshly groomed, Trufflekit joined the clan with her head held high and waited.

"Trufflekit, please step forward," Ashstorm loudly spoke towards the apprentice.

She waited a moment for the apprentice to come forward.  "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice.  From today until the day you finish your training and become a warrior, you will be known as Trufflepaw.  Your mentor will be Driftcloud."  She nodded to the cat whom she spoke of.  "They are a kind, strong warrior who I'm sure will train you well."
