Fawnpatch

Bingo. Fawnpatch and Marshmallow wanted the same thing; they simply went about it in different ways. Fawnpatch could understand that. But now that she knew what Marshmallow wanted, it would make it easier to earn her trust. It seemed to her that she was already making progress.

“We’ll do that, then. You can start accompanying me on patrols every day and I’ll teach you what I know,” Fawnpatch said. “Before long, I’m certain that you’ll understand what these cats want, and then you can get them to do what you’d like.” She smiled and gestured towards Marshmallow’s frog. “With your meal secured, should we head back? It’s getting late. We can get started first thing in the morning.”
