leaf-fall chill [o]

Mothglow settled outside her den. The chill of leaf-fall felt strange to her still, mostly due to the absence of lightly falling snow. Blinding white that was freezing like ice to the touch, that was what felt like it should be cold to her. But when she found herself by trees at this time of year, the orange and red leaves that twirled as they fell to the ground seemed like they should be warm. Yet they, too, were shivering cold when she placed a hesitant paw atop one, and so she drew it away as quickly as she'd placed it there.

Today, she'd already checked what herbs she'd need to go and gather more of (celandine and willow bark), and now was content to see if any of her Clanmates had need of her - even if they didn't, perhaps they would still appreciate her company.

Flintshard sat curled up outside of the warrior's den, eyes closed in bliss as he rumbled to a soft purr of contentment. The cold air meant nothing to the fluffy tom, being a mild annoyance if he really thought about it. Things were slowly starting to fall into place as he figuring out his place as a warrior in the Clan...Even if it meant being alone. There was no denying how hard it was for him to actually talk with his Clanmates, most cats preferred to actually talk while he was content to sit in silence. He wasn't bothered by it, however. Lack of connection meant lack of small talk he would have to make, and so he was content on being alone if that was what it entailed - having trouble even finding words to speak with his family. There was the sound of faint pawsteps that drew his attention, an eye flickering open as he spotted Mothglow stepping from her den, whiskers barely twitching in acknowledgement before he went back to his loafing.
