Frostgaze leaped onto the Jaggedrock gracefully, the deep wound in his neck having finally subsided to a deep pink scar. At least he needn't worry about it bleeding onto his white fur anymore, it was becoming a hassle to stay clean. Nevertheless, it was time for a peculiar ceremony. Rookfire had returned home to the clan after being taken by twolegs, though would not be returning to his position as medicine cat. Therefore, he had to become a warrior at some point, so then he must be an apprentice. A lengthy process, but a necessary one for a cat who did not have the skills to be a warrior right off the bat. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"
Once everyone had gathered, Rookfire included, Frostgaze began the ceremony. "Shadowclan, our former medicine cat Rookfire has returned to us after escaping from twolegs. He has chosen to be trained in the ways of a warrior, and as such must first be an apprentice. Rookfire, step forward." After the tom had done so, Frostgaze continued. "Rookfire, you were a devoted medicine cat, but it is time you become a devoted apprentice. Until the time you earn your warrior name, you will continue to be known as Rookfire. Mistyfalcon will be your mentor, and I am sure he will pass down all he knows to you."
Leaping down, Frostgaze left the cats to discuss. He was unsure how Rookfire would feel about becoming a warrior, he had not known the medicine cat well... ever. He only hoped that Rookfire would enjoy his warrior training, and continue to serve the clan as stalwartly as he had done so before.
