Rosekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their... own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for... a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Smokepaw looked up from where he was outside of the apprentice den as Thrushstar called out for a meeting, his ears perked with interest as he stood up to move closer to where the leader sat. What excitement, another clan meeting! It was most likely a ceremony but he couldn't be sure what of type of ceremony it was - apprentice or warrior. Of course, he couldn't recall any apprentices mentioning that it was time for their warrior ceremony so...Apprentice ceremony it was!


Larkpaw pulled herself out of the apprentice den as Thrushstar's yowl echoed across the camp. She blinked in surprise as she moved forward, taking a seat not far from Smokepaw as she stared up at the aging tom. She was still struggling to get used to the ceremonies that seemed to happen so often but it was a good sign of the Clan growing. Ah, how she couldn't wait until it was time for her Warrior ceremony. She could only hope that Thrushstar would give her her warrior name soon.

Her fur was groomed to perfection, she wanted to look great on this day! Rosekit had walked out of the nursery her eyes sparkling with excitement as she saw other cats gather around Thrushstar. Quickly following them Rosekit settled down next to some younger cats and waited for Thrushstar to call her name. This was the day where she would become a apprentice! She had so much pride.

"Tonight we gather to make this... kit an apprentice," Thrushstar said. "Rosekit, from now until you receive your warrior... name, you shall be known as Rosepaw. Your mentor will be Wildfang. May... he teach you everything he knows." With that, Thrushstar leaped down to see the rest of the ceremony play out.
