Scorchpaw’s Warrior Ceremony

Again standing on the Tallrock, Goldenstar called out the now-familiar gathering words: “Let all cats old enough to run the moor join beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!” The queen’s call was light, airy, hinting at the joyful purpose of their meeting. WindClan needed this.

Scorchpaw looked up at the sound of Goldenstar's call, standing and trotting over. Could it be...?

He didn't want to get his hopes up too high, but he was sure this would finally be his warrior ceremony. He'd worked so hard to get here. He sat down, curling his tail in front of his paws and looking up at the Tallrock with a glow in his eyes.

The tomcat made his appearance, and after the rest of the Clan settled together, Goldenstar spoke again with her eyes falling on Scorchpaw. “We are gathered today to welcome a new warrior into our ranks. Scorchpaw, step forward and greet your future.” The molly called over the howling winds. “I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has worked hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in return. Scorchpaw, do you promise to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your own life?"

"Yes! Scorchpaw exclaimed, jumping to his paws. Immediately afterward he cringed at his kit like excitement, sitting back down and dipping his head in a dignified manner.

"Yes, of course" He said calmly, though his emotions were swirling like a tornado inside.

OOC: I am pretty sure that at this time Bat is still Batpaw and Not yet Batsong so I will be using Batpaw when congratulating Scorch

Batpaw purred loudly hearing that her lifelong friend was about to become a warrior she smiled widely at him giving him her full support. She could barely keep still as he answered yes. This was so exciting her clanmate desreved this pormotion so much and he was such a loyal and good friend to her and to his clan.

“Then from this moment on, you will be known as Sorchtalon. WindClan has witnessed your compassion and optimism, and we welcome you as a full warrior." She leapt down to meet the new warrior in the open space and rested her muzzle gently on his head.

batpaw cheered hearing the warrior name chosen . S-S...Sorchtalon!! she stuttered a little as per usual but clearly happy for her friend.

Scorchtalon trembled with barely concealed pride as his leader rested her muzzle on his head. He couldn't have hoped for anything more, this day was perfect. He purred at the sound of his friend cheering for him, his eyes lit up with happiness.
