Dawnfeather took a deep breath as Beechaunt continued. Joking, joking- some cats do have different senses of humor. Sometimes it was hard to tell, though, although anything to do with killing other cats was obviously joking. Beechaunt continued, and the golden-pelted molly’s ears would’ve flattened further, if that was possible.
“Yes ma’am,” she mewed with a sigh. Sometimes there was no point in disagreeing, and this was one of those times- and one of the times she was thankful Beechaunt was her aunt, not her mother. Shame on you, Dawnfeather. She’s a wonderful molly. And she was right, about some of it. She had gotten Burningwing hurt by being so friendly- maybe, just maybe, she should… stay within SkyClan, so to speak. And Hawkuncle, of course.
”Yes ma’am,” she repeated, turning back towards SkyClan territory. “Should we head back now?” Changing the subject, changing the subject, keeping her mind off Cicadapaw-
Beechfang felt a little guilty as Dawnfeather's ears flattened further against her head, but she had little idea of how else to get it through to her. Cats who acted with claws first or who were involved in border skirmishes were not their friends, and never would be. She needed to keep her distance from them. Especially from the filthy rogue that had an association with her littermate. Those were not the type of cats Dawnfeather should be around. She was too naïve, too impressionable... Beechfang didn't think it would be long before Dawnfeather was hurt if this kept up. The only thing to do was nip it in the bud... Or try to.
"Let's go back to camp." She sighed, tail tip twitching as she turned away from the border after marking it. Shadowclan would learn to respect Skyclan's boundaries, or else.
