A purr escaped the Rogue as he brushed against one of the dirt diggers, a hint of grease rubbing off the tire and into his fur. Despite there being such an open area, prey was abundant here. Very interesting to the mottled tom.

The rustling of dirt caught his attention next, unable to ignore the prey drive that kept begging him to hunt. It was a little bird poking about the ground in search of its next meal, unaware that it was about to be a meal itself. Crouching low, the tom hadn't expected a metal tool to fall from the hood of the vehicle next to him, making him leap feet into the air, hissing wildly.

The bird was gone. Drat.

Their territory didn't seem terribly desirable, in fact it was one of the more dangerous territories in the forest. So why did rogues find it so alluring? That wasn't a question Sablestrike would ponder for long, the more pressing matter right now would be getting this drifter off of Shadowclan's land. Despite the sun revealing him easily Sablestrike still attempted to sneak his way towards the rogue, at least until he saw what the tom was doing.

Sablestrike could feel his blood begin to boil, though he wasn't sure if that were due entirely to his anger or if the heat provided by the blazing sun had any part in it. The black tom broke into a sprint immediately as the rogue landed, claws unsheathed as he leapt for the slimy looking cat.

A shriek of surprise escaped Grub as something sharp dug into skin. The moment he hit the ground and scrambled back into his feet, his own yellow eyes met a similar pair. "Usually cats start with names first." There was no grin, but instead a malicious gleam to his gaze. He'd been in plenty of backhanded scraps before. He would not be playing around.

In his usual wreckless manner, claws scrapped against the dry earth as he sprung forward... And as usual, he had flung himself too far.
