Unfamiliar Familiar [Herb Hunt]

Dovefrost let out a small sigh as he adjusted in his spot slightly, cuts from the fight stinging some but he couldn't let it bother him. Most of them were covered by his long fur, but it took a while to get the red out of his fur fully. This area was new to him.. He didn't know Windclan territory that well but he knew what he was looking for.

Due to Hentooth's recent disappearance, the white tom had stopped by Windclan with his own apprentice to go over some herbs and to stock up Windclan's supply. He didn't really like being so far away from home but it needed to be done. "Barrypaw, Crowpaw if either of you need to be reminded what a herb looks like just come let me know. This is a good learning experience for you both." He told the two, his tone flat like it usually was.

Albeit, the young medicine cat apprentice is a little nervous going around WindClan, he stuck by his mentor majority of the time and felt a little better. "O-okay! I won't let you down!" Won't try to at least... he didn't know if he's up for it, but he's still going to help out no matter what! It was probably the first time  he went out looking for herbs himself- especially on a WindClan territory. It felt awfully naked without all these trees..

Though as he wandered around he noticed a strange root poking out, remembering he sees it in the medicine den,he happily hopped over, trying to ccarefully outroot it with the Chicory root carefully between his teeth.

Berrypaw was excited to meet with some medicine cats from another clan. He was pretty lonely in his own den now, considering Hentooths possible death. Considering this was his first herb hunt since she may have died, he suprised himself in how confident he was feeling. As Dovefrost commaned the two apprentices to hunt for herbs, Berrypaw gave a stern nod to him and walked off.

Wandering around, Berrypaws eyes caught a bush of blueish-purple berries. Excitedly hopping over to the bush, he carefully placed his jaws over the Juniper Berries, avoiding the spiked leaves from the bush. "Berries for Berrypaw!" He smugly chanted to himself.

Dovefrost watched the two for a moment, making sure they were getting things right and following what they have been taught before. It all seemed to be going well, so maybe it was finally time for him to hunt for some herbs.

The large white tom glanced around the large open plains around him.. It certainly was uncomfortable for him.. He was too used to what seemed like the endless undergrowth of Thunderclan territory. There was no cover above either... How strange. He continued on his stroll, trying to ignore how open everything was.. searching for anything he could find useful. He let out a low grumble as nothing seemed to be appearing on his desired path.. Now he would have to look elsewhere.

"Woah! N-nice!" Crowpaw eyes brighten up the other apprentice brought back some berries. "I only got some roots..." despite that, he seemed somewhat pleased with himself nonetheless with his own find.

"What? O-oh, it's nothing. Oh, those are chicory roots! What are they used for again?" Berrypaw looked around for a second, noticing something a little... Odd. "Uh, wh-where did Dovefrost go, Crowpaw?" Berrypaw questioned.

"I'm right here. I didn't go far." He said approaching the two apprentices. "Chicory roots are used to ease hunger pangs. They are intended to be chewed and eaten." The large white tom informed the two. "And juniper berries. Both are good finds you two. Good job." He said his voice rumbling a little as he spoke.

"O-Oh! Um... I don't-" Before he replied his mentor surprised him from behind, causing the young apprentice to jump. Though his nerves eases upon seeing Dovefrost. "T-thanks! What did you find?" His eyes lit up, looking up at his mentor as he looked around for something that maybe Dovefrost may be carrying
