Bonekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstorm made her way up to Tallbranch for the second time.  She was still a new deputy, but was starting to get used to her deputy duties by now.  Climbing the tree, she landed on a branch where she looked out on the territory.  The other cats looked fairly busy, especially with the new orders Bloodstar had put in, and she always felt a little bit bad about disturbing them.

She breathed in quickly, still feeling the nerves and excitement that she felt the first time.  "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree, please gather for a clan meeting!"  She waited for the clan to gather, looking for the kit she was going to make an apprentice today.  Again, she greatly hoped that the kit would enjoy the mentor she chose.

Bonekit stood beside the nursery, slightly on edge. He was avoiding Bloodstar at the moment, and that being his primary focus he startled quite a lot when Ashstorm's clear voice cut through the white noise of busy SkyClanners milling about. A clan meeting? Oooh, maybe he could sneak in and see what it was about! Bloodstar didn't seem to be around to stop him...
He looked up at the deputy and was slightly shocked by the fact that she was looking right at him. Was this... No way. Finally! Trying not to let his excitement get the best of him, he warily approached the Tallbranch until he was within earshot. He didn't want to embarrass himself if this didn't end up being for him, so he kept a relative distance from Ashstorm.

Ashstorm waited for the kit to come over, looking at him once she spotted the tom.  Looking forward at the many eyes looking at her wondering who the ceremony was for.  Once her eyes landed on the kit, she decided the ceremony could start.  "Bonekit, step forward please," Ashstorm called out.


Ashstorm waited a moment for him to step forward.  Once he did, she was able to continue.  "You are six moons old and therefore are ready to become an apprentice.  From today, until you are a fully trained apprentice and earn you're warrior name, you will be known as Bonepaw.  I will be your mentor." Ashstorm crawled down from the tree and went towards the apprentice.


"Congratulations, Bonepaw!" She said to her new apprentice, touching noses with him.  She back up a few steps, her tail happily flicking back and forth.  "You're training will start tomorrow morning, if that's okay with you.  For now, enjoy your first day as an apprentice."
