Enemies in Low Places [Open]

Lilacstar had been on edge since her previous patrol had encountered that fox, and while no more foxes had been reported, a new scent had been discovered elsewhere. So now she was going to be leading a patrol to deal with this new threat. From what had been said, it appeared that there was a weasel that needed to be dealt with, thankfully only one by the sounds of it. But even one was one too many.

Having reached the spot where the vermin had been located, she could see that the weasel was hanging about outside. . Good. They could deal with this one and get it over with quickly. With a nod to the patrol she had brought, she surged forward.

Bowling into the weasel, she tossed it across the grass before it came back, latching onto her paw. She had to bite back a yowl of pain, just in case there were others that had not been detected before. The last thing the patrol needed was a swarm of these things.

Lilacstar used Whirlwind Rush, dealing 17 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Weasel used Gripping Bite, dealing 10 damage and costing 30 stamina. Effective for two turns.

Hayglow padded after Lilacstar, ears perked as she kept her eye out for the weasel they were hunting. While Hayglow wasn't the fondest of fighting, she had found a simple happiness in refraining from fighting other cats - she didn't like hurting things in general but she had made her peace in hunting...And predators were another thing that she didn't mind raising claws against if it meant keeping her Clanmates safe.

Soon enough Lilacstar had located it, giving a nod to the leader as the she-cat rushed in, Hayglow following swiftly behind. The weasel quickly latched itself onto the leader's leg, causing Hayglow to wince in the memory of when once such creature had latched itself onto a young Sunnyskip. She fought back that memory, focusing on the present as she quickly swiped at the weasel with everything she had in a flurry of quick but heavy blows.

Hayglow used Rending Front Paws on the weasel, dealing 13 damage and costing 25 stamina.

The commotion going on was liable to attract any cat out in the moors, and that's what drew Shrikestorm onto the scene. Seeing Lilacstar and Hayglow attacking a weasel, he sprang into action. The desire to protect his clan came into action before anything else, so he rushed forward. Sliding beneath the gripped, wriggling weasel, he slashed at its skinny underbelly with his claws before dodging out of the way.

Shrikestorm used Half-Turn Belly Rake on the weasel, dealing 13 damage and costing 20 stamina.
