Opalkit didn't doubt her sister would get upset if she knew the girl was doing this. Pearlkit always seemed to ruin her fun, always trying to be so good. She acted more like a mother than a litter mate. A sister was supposed to come and have fun with you, go on adventures. Instead, she'd rather sit around making friends and grooming herself. No thanks.

The girl's torbie pelt made her look like a little mass of dirt as she slunk through the territory, dead set on exploring her new home. Kit's were never allowed to do anything fun! The girl had grown tired of being cooped up in the nursery or wandering camp. She could only entertain herself so long before growing restless, wanting to explore. She wanted to see the borders, smell the other clans territory. Perhaps she'd even hunt! But the girl was too loud, too clumsy as she stumbled through, scaring off all prey near by. She was like a little neon sign: hey, look at me, kit wandering about!
