Still Here [Closed]

Murkystrike's eyes narrowed as Rosethorn argued against her command, and she fought the rising fur along her shoulders and took a deep breath, turning to fix Rosethorn with a steady gaze. "Rosethorn, that was not a request, it was an order. We will talk more about this later." She mewed, tail flicking back and forth slightly as she stepped forward to flank Batglow's other side. A small ember of warmth filled her heart as Mistyfalcon backed her up, but her attention was focused on the she-cat in front of them. Batglow seemed to know her, and while he wasn't hostile, he didn't seem.... All too excited to see her either. Then again, maybe he was? She glanced over her friend's back to look at her mate. It was a little unnerving to hear that there was a rogue that had been meandering around the border, occasionally crossing it. She made a note to double the patrols around this particular area, and add an extra member to each patrol. She could already hear the grumbles of the other warriors.... How would she explain this to Flintstar? Luckily, this Pea didn't seem hostile... Her tail tip flicked from side to side as she looked between Batglow and Pea. She supposed it wouldn't harm anything to let them finish their conversation, and then they could escort her back out of ShadowClan's territory and advise her of the border, then report to Flintstar.

Firepaw's fur bristled and puffed, and her eyes grew wide as aggression and fear consumed the patrol at the sight of the intruder. Firepaw's heart thudded in her chest, and especially so as Rosethorn revolted against the deputy's order to run back with her. Did Rosethorn not care for her? Or did she think that Firepaw could handle herself? Dread accompanied the fear that she felt in her little chest as she looked at the cats in front of her arguing, and at the rogue that claimed to know Batglow. She shuffled nervously and looked away, not really sparing the thought that she wasn't acknowledged at all until it was necessary to do so. Firepaw just wanted to run away, she almost would be glad if this cat named Pea made a fight break out so she could just rush back and hide away in her den. The darkness of the den would be a comfort for once.

He didn't like this. He was uncomfortable. He was uncomfortable with her being here. Not that he wasn't happy to see her, but if she was here then that meant she wasn't to far from here. "I'm fine Pea. I have found a home and a family here, but look. Pea you can't be here. This is our territory. Didn't you smell the markers?" He asked her, yellow green eyes alight with the question. "I.. er, we will guide you back to the border."

He started moving that way, nudging his sister in that direction as well. "Crossing into the territory isn't smart, you could have been attacked if it wasn't us." Batglow said to his sister. "If you ever want to talk just wait by the border, or something. I'm sure someone would find you and get me." He paused in his steps for a moment. "I'm fine with this as long as you don't tell Vea. Please don't tell her, she doesn't need to know about any of this."

Pea nodded when Batglow spoke. Most of it the calico she-cat had no qualms with. ShadowClan's markers were very strong, but she tried ignoring them when she saw her brother. Note to self, respect ShadowClan's markers. She appreciated her brother's concern for her when taking the she-cat off of ShadowClan territory. Of course, they could talk. That sounded pleasant.

But then Batglow said something that... didn't resonate well with her. Vea... Mom... She truly believed that Batglow's opinions of Vea were harsher than what was the reality. Yes, she wished for her kits to be strong, but it was for their own safety. She couldn't see Vea as terribly as she knew that Batglow did. "Sometime soon, you and Mom should talk over your differences, talk about the pain that she caused to you. I'm sure that she'd be willing to listen to you, and maybe you two could make amends."

She couldn't promise her brother that she wouldn't tell Mom. Because the truth was, she certainly would. She trusted her mom the most, more than anyone else. But she would do that later. Padding away from ShadowClan territory, she gave a smile to Batglow as she left. She knew that telling her mom was the right thing to do when it was all said and done.

At least, that's what she thought.
