Mafia: Warrior Cat Edition (Game)

There Smallbean laid, sprawled out on the floor of the camp, his flank heaving. He could've sworn that he'd went to sleep in his own nest the night prior, so there was no explanation for him waking up in a completely different camp, with completely different cats, in a completely different world. Anxiety ate at the tom's belly, causing him to get an almost nauseated feeling. His heart began racing as fast as his mind did as he thought about what could be going on. Was he captured and brought into enemy camp? Was he dead? Did he die in his sleep? Was his family there? What was going to happen to him?

His thoughts began to spiral, getting more and more worrying with each passing moment, causing him to start shaking. It was only then when he heard voices around him. Jumping to his paws, he scanned the area around him, seeing many cats, some he recognized, some he'd never met. Well, he really only recognized one, Cedarheart. But what about his family!? Were they okay? Were they still back in Windclan camp? His breathing quickened again. He knew he had to calm down, but how? Looking around the camp once more, he spotted a small stream near the border of the camp. Trotting over to it, he lapped up some water. It really did help. He sat there for a few moments, trying to get himself completely calm.

Standing back up, he had calmed down, but his defenses were still high. His paws itched with the urge to run, but it wasn't as if he could outrun any of these cats, they could be enemies for all he knew. He might as well get to know them, he guessed, to find out which of them he could trust. He started with Cedarheart, the only cat he really knew. Walking up to the familiar she-cat, he soon noticed that she was speaking with a few other cats. 'Maybe i shouldn't bother her...' Turning away, he noticed one cat by himself. His fur was a reddish color, and he looked grumpy if anything. Hesitantly, he approached the tom. "S-sorry t-to bother,b-but d-do you know w-where w-w-we are?" As if his anxiety wasn't high enough, he now had to interact with unfamiliar and mean-looking cats to get any information. Luck definitely wasn't on his side today.

(Ooh, forgot to mention, but beanboi is talking to Redfall)

Nightwolf was horrified at what he saw. He had just woken up from a nice rest only to discover the scent blood with two dead bodies following it. One was of Ashflame, and judging from the fact her eyes a were black and the smoke it seems she was a dark forest cat, while the other was Redfall, and from what Nightwolf learned was the medicine cat. "I- I can't believe their dead." Was all he managed to mutter out.

Heronflight woke up to see two dead bodies: Ashflame and Redfall, apparently. He had never met those cats before, but he knew that in this weird world, the Dark Forest cats and the Predator were trying to kill off the clan cats.

The gray tabby walked to the dead body of Ashflame, the Dark Forest Stormbringer. She didn't talk much yesterday, which was odd, to say the least. Perhaps of the cats here, those who were quietest were the most suspicious.

He was going to push forth a discussion.

"Does anyone have information on the cats here?" he yowled, trying to identify Ashflame and Redfall's killers. They needed to gather enough information to exile a cat before the Dark Forest took over.

Cedarheart woke up, and exited the den. She needed to figure out why they were here, what they were doing. As she walked, she kept her head up, looking around. But once glance down and she skidded to a halt. There were two dead bodies. She gasped, her nostrils filling with the scent of blood. Sure, she hadn’t known Ashflame well, and she hadn’t agreed with Redfall, but she had never wished them dead.

As Heronflight, an unfamialr warrior called out, she turned at him. ”I think we do need to find out how this is happening, as we are in obvious danger,” she glanced around more wary of her companions. ”but I doubt the killers will reveal themselves.”

The small tom jumped awake, startled. Ever since they had mysteriously arrived in this camp yesterday, Smallbean had been very on edge. The fact that he really only knew one of these cats didn't help either, it just made it harder for him to communicate with them. After all, he wasn't skilled in conversation and interaction. Stretching out his legs, he opened his mouth to let out a yawn before he stopped, his eyes widened.


The scent was faint from where he was, but it was definitely there. If there was blood, something must've happened, right? Maybe... maybe a cat accidentally stepped on a thorn, maybe they encountered a rogue? Was there a skirmish in the camp? Were they going to be okay? The tom's mind began to race, filling with the endless possibilities, yet trying to think of a rational explanation for the scent, as if it was trying to convince him it wasn't there. But there was no way, if there wasn't much blood, he wouldn't be able to smell it from where he was. Unless... the blood was near him?

Standing up from his nest, Smallbean crawled toward the entrance to the den, holding his head low and looking at the ground. The closer he came to exiting the den, the stronger the scent grew, and the more his anxiety grew. Peering around the corner, he gazed into camp, jaw dropping in horror. There, in the center of the clearing, lay two dead bodies. Other cats had already started crowding around them. Of course, he didn't know the dead cats, but he couldn't help but feel grief when he looked at them, even if he couldn't tell who they were. But what if... what if one of them was Cedarheart!?

Anxiety replaced with panic, he rushed toward the crowd, scanning it for the one cat he knew. "Cedarheart!? Where are you?" He didn't want to sound frantic, but he couldn't help but let it show in his voice. He heard voices from all sides, but one was familiar. Cedarheart's mew! turning toward the voice, he saw the she-cat and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're okay, i was worried that the blood smell was coming from you. Speaking of..." He turned and looked behind him and saw the lifeless bodies of two warriors- one of them being the amber tom he had tried speaking to yesterday. He let out a gasp and backed away, the corpses making him feel uneasy. Who did this? Those warriors seem to be much bigger and stronger than he was; if they were killed so easily, what would keep him from the same fate? The world seemed to spin as he went deeper into panic, the voices around him turning into blurs of sound. What were they to do? What if there were cats in camp who did this? Why were they put here in the first place!?

Wolfpaw's heart raced as she saw the dead bodies. What was happening? How did they die? After her initial panic subsided, she gathered up all her courage and decided to investigate. She wanted to know who they were and what happened to them. She approached one of the bodies, it was a calico she-cat. Scratches and slices all over her. Wolfpaw's legs trembled a bit as she wondered, what killed her? The scratches seem unnecessarily cruel. Maybe and animal? But what animal would kill a cat and not eat it? Wolfpaw examined the she-cat more. Wolfpaw shivered as she saw her eyes, which were as black as night. Why are they black? she wondered. Maybe someone can help me. The apprentice decided to share her findings with someone. Wolfpaw looked around, searching for a familiar face.

Shimmerpaw's head raised, and she jumped at the sound of the yowling. What in the name of StarClan is happening? She bounded over to where the calls came from, where she saw the dead cats. She could feel her hairs stand on end. What was happening?

She saw Wolfpaw hovering around the dead body of one of the cats. Upon closer inspection, Shimmerpaw realised-much to her horror-the she-car has black eyes. She recalled hearing one of the cats back at camp talk about how pitch-black eyes and smoke rising from the cat’s muzzle meant they were a Dark Forest Stormcaller. That sounded... horrifying. And dangerous to be around.

Shimmerpaw turned to glance at Wolfpaw, wondering if she was hanging around just out of curiosity or if there was something else. However, it was too early to draw a conclusion.

Shimmerpaw votes for no one, at least for now.

Nettlefire rose from her den to be greeted by the sight of the two corpses and the startled still-living cats around her.

She eyed the bodies carefully, turning her attention specifically to Ashflame. So this cat had secretly been an enemy...? Surely no one could have known that until this moment. And so...what did Ashflame's death imply about what Nettlefire had seen the night before? Perhaps there was a reasonable explanation for what she had observed. Or perhaps there wasn't. Either way, Nettlefire hoped to find out.

The she-cat disliked the idea of being secretive; she preferred it when others stated their purpose outright. But she was also quickly gathering that this was a situation where she could not necessarily trust those around her...and perhaps being too forthright with her information and suspicions would do more harm than good. Still, the thought of trying to act sly and cryptic made her uncomfortable, and she wasn't entirely sure how to proceed. But she knew she had to.

"Perhaps we should all compare notes," The deputy said, now looking around at her assorted companions. "We could each explain what we did last night, if anything. I myself briefly looked around the area before returning to my den,"

Nettlefire felt a bitter taste in her mouth at the not-quite-lie she had just uttered, but continued on. If she had to she'd just be entirely open with her accusations and questions. She hated the fact that she had found herself in a scenario where such things were last resorts, not first options. But for now she felt she would have to continue to beat around the bush. She allowed her gaze to wander slightly before looking over at Cedarheart and directing her question directly to her. Ostensibly it was random; just the first cat her eyes had happened to land on. But there was also a layer of suspicion inside her gaze. It was time to see if she could get clarification about what she had seen. "What about you, Cedarheart? Did you do anything last night?"

Cedarheart nodded as Nettlefire looked at her. ”Well after I arrived last night, I took a look around. Looked at some of the dens, and that sort. But I was tired, really, and I went to sleep not soon after. I woke up just a few moments after... she gestured towards Mightwolf and Heronflight. ”them, and saw the bodies.” she explained calmly. Glancing toward Nettlefire, her eyes widened. ”You don’t- you don’t think I did it, do you?” she asked nervously. If they decided to exile her, or worse, kill her, what would happen. Would she be dead in the real world, too? Calming down, she looked at everyone else. ”Ah, sorry. Anyways, I think Nettlefire has the right idea. What did all of you do last night?”

Shimmerpaw raised her head to look at Nettlefire. "I didn't do anything last night. I went straight to bed." She called out. Why did they think just asking it would work? Wouldn't anyone doing this be a very experienced liar already? "The only thing I did yesterday was talk to Wolfpaw."

Nightwolf turned his head away from the bodies as Cedarheart asked him what he and other cats did last night. As soon as Shimmerpaw finished speaking he opened his mouth. "Well before I went to sleep I talked with Redfall about leaves. He was alive when I talked to him and I remember him being in the den and not out here. Plus I was kinda tired so there was no way I could've carried his body out here." Nightwolf said.

Heronflight saw one cat try to speak and lead the discussion, perhaps better than he could, which probably meant that they were an extremely experienced warrior. Nettlefire, huh, he thought after Cedarheart mentioned her name. She must really know what she is talking about. The gray tabby stared at the she-cat with understanding. Heronflight waited for Nightwolf to finish speaking to talk. "I tried falling asleep as soon as possible, hoping that this was all just a weird dream and that I would wake up back in StarClan," the gray tabby said, forgetting that the other cats did not know that he was from the stars. "But I couldn't sleep, so I just ended up... laying on my nest for a while." The gray tabby looked to the other cats suspiciously. He knew that any of them could be a member of the Dark Forest or the Predator. But they all had to find out who was evil and exile them from the Clan. There was another way to check each cat that Heronflight thought of, but he would let Nettlefire's investigation take its course before suggesting it.
