Copperpaw whimpered as she tried to find shelter from the oncoming wave. She has never been so frightened in her life.

Unfortunately, the water had reached her before she was successful in her attempt. "H-HELP!" she cried as she was swept away. Her light, green eyes portrayed terror. The water threw her around, eventually dragging her under from the speed. The world around her soon went black.

Tanglekit clung to his mother's pelt as the waters started to rise. Sablekit was there too, and Firkit and Sootkit had been taken care of. But where was Brackenkit? Why was she still in the nursery? "Brackenkit!!" The ginger tom called out, watching with horror as water flooded into the nursery. Rowantalon clambered in, and Tanglekit sighed. He'll help her, she'll be safe...

Trying not to dig his claws into Thornbriar, Tanglekit watched as the current surged over rocks and trees. ShadowClan camp had fallen to chaos. Tears started to fall from the young tom's face. He was worried for his siblings, worried for his friends. They must be so scared! They don't have a mom to ride on!

A loud crack rang out in the forest and Tanglekit whimpered, hunkering down into his mother, buried into her fur. I'm scared! He thought, shaking with cold and fear. The rain had slicked his mother's black fur down and the kit found it harder and harder to hold on. A wave hit and Tanglekit lost his grip. Claws ripping from Thornbriar's pelt. "Mama!!" He screamed, but only bubbles came from his maw. Head submerged in the massive current, the ginger tom was pulled away, tossed through the waves and churned through rocks and debris. Something hit Tanglekit's head and everything went black. No more pain, no more fear, no more cold. I'll see you soon mama...

Sorrelpaw had never felt more fear in his life. He had never had any reason to, after all. The calm stillness had been interrupted by screams and cries of terror so abruptly that the tom had considered it all to be a dream, but the violent thumping of paws on the ground tore him out of whatever misplaced daze he was in. A desire to stay alive had filled his veins, and his heart had started to race. Instinct told him to run, and his paws were put into hyperdrive. Any serenity he had felt a few heartbeats ago had been abandoned. Seeing his Clanmates in such a state tore him apart. All he could do, considering how confused and terrified he was, was follow the rest of the Clan.

If he had thought that the noises of his scared Clanmates had been scary, then the deadly cracking sound had been absolutely petrifying. He practically felt his entire being begin to shake as the overflow of water got even worse. The only thing he could do in that moment was hold on and hope for the best. He began to feel dizzy, not wanting to lose his balance and fall into the rushing current that would most certainly kill him. The need to survive was clawing at his chest. He couldn't die. What about his parents? Littermates? Friends?

Hope wasn't on his side.

It all happened so fast. One moment, he was out. The next moment, however, took him in... and under. He barely managed to let out a cry for help before his head went under, his pelt felt heavy, and everything dragged him forward. The sound of water overwhelmed his senses, and then everything seemed to shut down. Everything was black. Everything was gone. There was nothing to be felt, seen, or heard. At least Sorrelpaw couldn't feel afraid anymore.

Having begun to lead the clan towards Highstones, something suddenly stabbed into his leg and for a moment, Daisyflame feared for the worst as he let out a growl of pain. Looking down, he was relieved to see what was clinging onto his pelt was a kit and he quickly thanked StarClan for sparing the young cat's life. "You're safe now," the warrior mewed. Picking up the soaked bundle of fur by the scruff, the decided that it would be easiest to simply carry the tom himself.

"ShadowClan! Let's go!" he yowled through half closed jaws as he slowly but surely made his way across the rough brush towards the place in which Scorchstar had directed them to go. He had no clue what had really happened to Scorchstar and Wildstrike or if they were still alive, but for now, he had a clan to lead and promised that he would keep them safe, even at the cost of his own life, if it ever came down to that.

Liontail couldn´t do more than watch his father disappear as he was swept in the current, the kit he was carrying mewed pityfully... he couldn´t do anything, so he heard Daisyflame´s call and went with the group, his clan, what was left of it.

With the panic around the young former rogue she cat wasn't sure what to do as the wave crashed through the camp she watched as it washed away those she knew she she joined  she watched as it swept her great grandfather away and her ears flattened upon hearing Daisyflame order she turned running as fast as she could her curly fur thick and drenched with heavy water as she left ran reaching her mentor Liontail's side and followed after Daisyflame

Tansyheart breathed heavily as she sprinted towards the edge of ShadowClan territory. She could only hope that others were following behind her and that those she could see ahead of her would be able to cling to the hedges. Running faster than she had ever run before, the warrior's legs were only a blur in her desperation to reach higher ground. She had barely reached the hedges that bordered ShadowClan when a crack rang out, with a huge wall of water following it. She scrambled through the hedge, clinging precariously to what might now be her only hope. Her paws shook as she made her way along the prickly carpet of branches after Daisyflame.

The stocky warrior listened to his daughter's instructions and quickly attempted to help her with the kits. Firestone tried to guide them through the water as careful as he could and at the same time, be a helping shoulder to his precious Redwing. When she was finally out, the senior tom attempted to grab one of the little ones with his jaws but the cracking sound stopped him for crucial seconds. In just a few blinks, he saw with horror the waves coming in, taking any cat and den with them. He turned his face to the ginger-furred she-cat for a second and locked his eyes with hers. "I love you." He mewed before the water hit him, taking him deeper under the surface.

It was all dark, wet. Even if he wanted to open his eyes, the only he would see was the massive storm of dust and mud underwater. Firestone rolled underwater and he moved his paws desperate, attempting to swim like those in Riverclan. He felt a sharp thing in his head and paralyzing pain that started from his spine and ended in his extremities. The tom stopped moving and finally opened his eyes slightly, losing the remaining air of his lungs rather fast. Was this his end? He wondered. Was his time to meet his father and mother? Was his time to leave... Shadowclan? He was older than most of his clanmates, already a senior warrior in his way of eldership. Maybe this was a sign from Starclan to say goodbye... Was his time to give up?

No...

Firestone narrowed his eyes and pushed his body to move despite the pain, despite the debris in his way.

Redwing... needs me...

The Shadowclan warrior swam clumsily, moving slow but steady to the sky. The flood kept pushing to who knew where but he couldn't drown. He had to see his daughter... he had to help her with her kits.

Firestone took a deep breath when his nose finally reached the air and moved to what it seemed to be high ground (for now). He didn't even notice the blood running through his face thanks to the adrenaline. There was just one thing in his mind that mattered. "REDWING!" He yowled when he finally spotted the ginger and wet fur of his daughter. The tom ran to her and nuzzled her lovingly, not believing that Starclan had given him more time to be with her. "Oh, my sweet kit... We need to get out of here."
