Lengxue. The name flowed smoothly off the she-kit's tongue, but Scorchclaw flicked one tufted ear in confusion. L—Le—? Good grief, there was barely a point in asking her to repeat herself. He should have expected such a difficulty from rogue names. And here he had thought that Starlord's name was bad enough. What did the non-clan cats even base their names on? The fluffy deputy little time to brood over the issue, however, for Jaystar spoke up. Almost as soon as he registered what had been said, his green gaze narrowed and grew sharp. Here was a name that he had thought he would never have to hear again. "So even a monster like him had a family." The words left his maw in a scornful mutter. His view of Lengxue shifted now. The weakened, vulnerable young cat that was so small she seemed to be swallowed up in the nest was one of Shade's descendants. Could anything good possibly come from that remorseless murderer? He had tensed up at the words from his leader, and mild hostility now seeped through his once guarded expression. Once again, he found himself examining Lengxue. She was just a kitten, and clearly one not in good shape... At the order he received, he gave a brief nod. "I understand. Leave it to me." At any rate, they could not leave the other one to freely roam RiverClan territory.

Scorchclaw listened to the rest of Lengxue's story silently, his emotions now under control. If her words were to believed, she had surely lived a pitiable life until now. That was, if her words were to be believed. In the life he had lived until that moment, the large brown tabby had trusted many cats, only to have that trust thrown back at his paws. The Warrior Code would be followed; however, RiverClan could not afford to shelter Shade's descendants. With leaf bare arriving, more cats would also mean more mouths to feed. Jaystar's suggestion was a wise one. If Scorchstar wanted to take responsibility for his own actions, it was up to him to take these cats in. Flicking his fluffy tail once, the RiverClan deputy turned to Jaystar. "I'll go and arrange the patrols." Then, to Lengxue, he asked in a low yet clear voice, "Where is the other rogue?"

"My...uncle should be at the edge of the border...."She said quietly as she thought.
