A Raven Takes Flight (Open) [My awkward bab tries to socialize]

Ravenkit took a slow breath. Today she would actually talk to a cat other than Acornkit or Sparkkit. As much as she liked those two, any good warrior needed more than two cats to socialize with. She breathed out again, and padded up to the nearest cat. She was clearly shy, small, and easily picked on, as she crept closer. She tried to talk, but just stuttered incoherently out of nervousness.

"Um, I'm Ravenkit. It's nice to meet you." She flicked a silver ear, sitting down and silently took a few deep breaths to calm herself.

Stretching, Fennelkit stepped up from her nap and, not bothering to look for obstacles, dashed for the den exit; instead, she skidded to a halt behind the two chatting cats, lightly bumping into Ravenkit. A bit bristled, she whipped around to face the she-cat.
"Do you mind? Some cats need to move around here, you know!" She acknowledged that her words were a little harsh, especially considering she may have been the one to run into them, but she had just woken up and she wasn't in the mood for cats sitting in her way. There were things to play with and nooks and crannies to explore; if only these mouse-brains would get out of the way!

Ravenkit shied away, startled by the yelling. "I'm sorry." She quietly mumbled.

Something about the tom-kits tone sparked another flame of anger within her. "I don't need to be told what's rude and what's not by some snot-nosed kit! And, in my opinion, you should be the one's to move; you're blocking both my and the other cats's way!" They probably weren't, but she had to use whatever point she could make if she didn't want to lose this argument. And she hated losing. Hated it with a burning passion.
Her fur spiking, a murmur met her ears and she turned back to the she-kit. "What? I can't hear you." Her head tilting, she noticed the cat was backing away from her, but didn't think much of it. Maybe she'd finally realised that she should move.

Ravenkit mumbled a little louder, "I'm sorry."
She relaxed a bit at Silentkit's touch, a smile on her face.

"Nrrgh.." She stared frustratedly at the two, tail lashing. Now they were acting as if she was the bad guy! All she wanted was for them to just move out of the way and everyone would be happy, but now that crowfood of a tom was being all uppity and his little girlfriend was trying to make her feel bad! Her anger clearly visible on her face, she repressed the urge to spit out some very cruel words and tried a different approach. With a sigh, she began to speak.
"Will you please move out of the way?" she asked, keeping just a hint of passive-aggression in her voice. Yes, that should do; if these goons are so obsessed with politeness, then they should at least listen to her request now.

Ravenkit dipped her head, shifting away awkwardly, tail tucked. "Please don't hurt me." she squeaked, just barely audible.

Flicking his tail back and forth irritably Silentkit watched Fennelkit for a long moment before shifting away with Ravenkit. Thusly moving out of the other shekit's way. "There. Was that so hard?" He spat coldly. Turning to Ravenkit he wrapped his tail around her, his ears still flat against his head. "I won't let her hurt you.."

"H-huh?" Her agitated expression faded into one of shock. They.. they thought she would hurt them? What kind of monster did they take her for? All she had wanted was for them to move, but-
She stopped herself before she could finish that thought, and instead went over her actions for the first time. She.. she was being a bit mean, wasn't she? Ugh.. and she spent all this energy arguing over something that was her fault! And.. the little she-kit looked so scared and.. gosh, she'd really messed it up this time, hadn't she? Well, there's really only one thing she can do now..
"Wh-why would I hurt you? I-uh-I.." Why did it have to be so hard to apologise?
"I-I'm sorry.." she mumbled feebly, her head bowed, before dashing out. But she wasn't very excited to play outside now.

Ravenkit's ears flicked back, flat on her head at the other kit's discomfort. She hadn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings. "Uh." She began to say something, but it was quickly swallowed up by regret and confusion.

Ooc: Thank you this has brought Raven's esteem even lower and given her a new friend. Now she shall be even more quiet and careful!
