Ploverpaw's New Apprentice Ceremony

Although not unwelcomed, Ploverpaw's presence within WindClan still felt a bit strange- almost as though it was a mere prolonged temporary stay, and not the official enrollment that it was. After sparing the young tom as much time as she could, for the sake of allowing him time to reconnect with both his mother and single littermate, Brindlestar could no longer fend off the inevitable. Scrubbing away the final lingering traces of the partial meal that she had consumed, the scarred molly was pleased to see that her half-full belly still granted her the full wit she needed for this odd ceremony. Assigning Ploverpaw a mentor who could successfully transfer the young tom over to WindClan's training style would definitely require more thought that she was willing to admit. Rising into a half-seated position atop the smooth surface of the Tall-Rock, Brindlestar's voice easily carried out the ancient summons into the cooling evening air.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Tallrock!"

Ploverpaw padded forward, unsure if he should actually be among the windclanners in their meeting. He knew he was part Windclan, but at the same time he still felt like an outcast. Even in skyclan he felt like an outcast. Was there no where for him to go? Yellow eyes peered up at Brindlestar from the back of the gathered cats, waiting to see what she said.

"As many of you know, Ploverpaw has decided to return to his rightful place within his mother's Clan. For him to officially find his place within our ranks, he must first be assigned a new mentor who can teach him the traditional mannerisms of WindClan." Brindlestar was almost at a loss when it came to attempting to find suitable words for such an unusual ceremony. Catching sight of the apprehensive stare, one whose blatant unease sharpened their honeyed depths, the expression upon the heavily scarred molly's features were completely unreadable- even to the most well-trained of eyes. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, your new mentor shall be Nectarleap. There is no better cat to help you learn the ways of the moorland, and I am certain that he will pass down everything he knows."

Oh.. Oh! That was a surprise. He hadn't realized her would be getting an official ceremony. The tom moved forward a bit to meet with his new mentor. Hopefully Nectarleap would get along with him. It was going to take some getting used to all of this new stuff, but he hope that he would get a hang of it just as easily as he did in Skyclan. After all he had the blood of Windclan and Skyclan in him.

Nectarleap blinked in surprise. Another apprentice? Even after what happened with Stormcloud? After remembering that he was the only one who actually blamed himself for that incident, he took a deep breath and padded over to Ploverpaw. While the fact he was from SkyClan wasn't going to stop him from being a good mentor, it was a little unsettling. How was he supposed to teach a cat to forget many things he had grown up being taught? Trying his best to smile, the warrior touched his nose to the new apprentice's. "Training starts at sunrise."
