An average hunting patrol (Closed)

The scent of RiverClan weighed heavily in Marshstorm's mind as he padded around the warrior's den. His ears flattened in discomfort as he pondered quietly over the events of late. The clan seemed scattered, confused. This couldn't stand. He turned towards the apprentice's den. They would be most affected by this turn of events. The dark tabby settled down near the entrance, his white pawtips seemed fascinating for a moment while he considered things.

A patrol. It was such a simple answer. They could patrol, hunt for the clan. Perhaps this would help things. He looked up and called out to the cats around him, making it clear that this was a request, not an order.
"Would anyone like to patrol and stretch their legs?" He offered, his amber gaze locked on owlpaw and dawnpaw for a moment, hoping perhaps his apprentices would take him up on the offer. A straight order though would make it feel less like a choice, perhaps drag down the group.

Owlpaw was laying in her den not really asleep, not really awake just somewhere akwardly between.
When Marshstorm came to ask people for a patrol she immediately stood up. She padded out of the apprentice den carefully to make sure she stood on no-one and towards her mentor.
"hello Marshstorm I would want to join your patrol, were are we heading to?"

At the sound of a patrol being called, Echopaw padded over. "Hey, Marshstorm?" The tuxedo tom asked. "Can I join this patrol?" Echopaw hadn't been on a patrol in awhile. He hoped he could join this one.

OOC: I hope I can join too. I just wanna be part of the party ;-;

Bumblepaw's ears perked up at the sound of patrol. She had been sleeping and the sound of three cats chatting had awaken her. While she didn't want to interrupt them too much, she still knew that it was a requirement for her to go to a patrol since it had to meet the needs of her warrior name, which she was closer than she thought to getting. What would it be? Bumbleflight? Bumbletooth? Bumblewing? She couldn't put her paw on it, but she knew she would get their soon enough.

The young apprentices gaze turned over to Marshstorm, her father who had adopted her not too long ago. "Can I join too?" The she-cat asked, a bit of excitement flowing through her voice. It was her first patrol ever, and she was eager to go. Not to mention she'd be able to hang out with Echopaw and Owlpaw, perhaps some new friends that she could make.

Marshstorm nodded in approval at the gathered apprentices. He smiled at Owlpaw, happy to see his own apprentice in the trio. His gaze flicked to Echopaw, comfort in his amber gaze as he nodded approvingly.
"Of course Echopaw." He purred, then caught sight of Bumblepaw making her way into the group. "Well, between the three of you and myself, I think that's enough for a patrol." His eyes glowing in pride as he turned and padded to the entrance. "We'll be headed to Sunningrocks. They should be nice and hot, which will drive the prey towards the trees, to us."

Despite the recent events in the clan, he refused to let them weigh him down as he lead the apprentices to a safe patch of shaded wood near the Sunningrocks. True enough, life on the rocks themselves barely stirred, but the shadows were filled with the scents of prey. Soft rustlings of bushes and trees nearby told him that prey was scurrying about on their routines of gathering food.
"All right." He meowed softly to the assembled cats. "Let's see how your hunting skills have been getting along." His tail flicked neatly as he sat down in front of them. "I want each of you to try catching a squirrel and a mouse, shrew, or other small prey." He ordered calmly. "We will meet here with our catches."

"Okay!" Echopaw set out to find his pray. It wasn't long until he picked up the smell of a squirrel. He creeped after it, trying not make noise as he walked through the undergrowth. Soon he found it. The squirrel was munching on a seed it had found, oblivious to the danger. Here we go. Echopaw pounced on it. The squirrel thrashed around, trying to escape, but it was no use, Echopaw's claws were secured in it. It wasn't long before it stopped moving. He picked it up in his jaws, and found a good place to store his fresh kill. "I will come back for you later," he told it, as if it would try to go somewhere. Then he left to find his next piece of prey.
